XBar for WoW (World of Warcraft)

INSTALLATION NOTES

    • mage-food, if avaiable. If not, common water from vendor.
    • Bufffood
    • Flasks

    @logansfury: Sorry I didn't see your comment.  Work and other RL issues have kept me busy.  To answer a few of your questions:

    The profiles are for XBar's settings, not for XCustomBar's settings.  Each toon is assigned "default" and must be manually changed per toon.  Bars created with XCustomBar will be present on all profiles, but you can hide the bar using XBar's config.  XCustomBar is not a direct plugin, it simply generates plugins to be used with XBar.

    The message about "version change detected..." is normal when you update a bar.  Every time you change a bar, its internal version number changes to force an update of its settings.  When a bar is updated, all settings are imported except for any custom sorting you may have done with XBar.  You should only see it once per profile unless you make additional configuration changes to the bar.

    As far as behavior, it can be tricky.  All the bar does is set up options to be handled by Blizzard's secure frame template, so it may take some experimentation to work.  The macros buttons take pass-through modifiers, so you can only assign 1 macro per button.  The problem you're probably having is trying to fit /use and /equipslot into one macro.  If it works on the regular action bar, it will probably work here, with the exception of the control modifier.

    Every time I try to make a simple 3 button custom bar for swapping trinkets, following all directions and using the correct item ID number to assign the trinkets to buttons, I get the message "Version change detected, swapping to default settings". Even though I have created a new named profile specifically to keep extra action bars from my other toons screens, and only make this custom bar on that toons profile, it keeps appearing on the default profile, and when I delete it from my default while on my other toons, it dissapears from the named toon profile that needs to have it. Why does this keep happening?

    The errors with this addon are getting worse and worse. The Macro type for custom bars doesnt work whatsoever. It creates a blank bar that only shows the toggle anchor and will not display any created buttons. The addon cannot seem to handle its profiles feature. It keeps assigning bars created from one profile to other profiles (im only using 2, default which im tring to keep blank, and one named for the toon im attempting to do bars for) it is swapping assigned profiles without being directed to, and when custom bars ive never created on the default profile are deleted, it deletes them from the named profile

    I have just had a very frustrating error with this addon. I made a custom bar with 4 item buttons, all trinkets. My intent was to make a bar that would with first click change the equipped trinket in top slot (13) and with second click on same button use that trink. As I had 2 of the item trinkets associated with button 4, the single click kept trying to activate the trink in slot 14 instead of equipping the one in my bags to slot 13 (goblin rocket launcher, no issue with having one of these in each trink slot) so I made a macro for equipping trink to slot 13 with button 2 click, and using trink slot 13 item with button 1 click. I made a 5th button on bar (macro button) and assigned correct macro name to it, then moved it to pos 4, so my buttons were: item, item, item, macro, item. Saving this made button 5 dissapear but button 4 worked perfectly. So I went into settings and deleted button 5. This made button 4 unfunctional. I deleted entire bar and remade using same original steps but now no matter what I do, the macro button will not function to equip the trink, and only tries to activate the slot 14 trink. Please help

    XCustomBar and the bar does show there. This is one of only 2 bars ive made with this addon, is very very simple in configuration, but is completely bugging out

    Slight bug I found - some cooldowns, recklessness for example, doesn't reset it's cooldown when I enter an arena.
    This wouldn't be a problem as far as the CD goes, except it also makes it unusable. I have recklessness macroed, so I still use it in macro, but if I wanted to use it without the rest of the macro, it tells me it's still on CD (even though it's actually reset). Is there a way to make xbar pick up the "official" CD?

    The cooldowns are picked up by the UI, I use the in-game cooldowns for display. If you click the spell and it tells you its on cooldown, that's the game telling you, not XBar. The buttons pick up the same events that the action bar gets for cooldowns, so I've noticed they generally seem to be accurate. The buttons basically behave as close to the blizzard buttons as possible, but there are some background discrepancies in how Blizzard casts spells through their action bars versus floating frames and macros which I am unable to program around.

    So basically, either it's an internal Blizzard bug in the handling of the spell, or it might a visual discrepancy be due to latency.

    No. I double checked this today.
    I do arenas. I use Recklessness (5min CD), Rallying Cry (3min CD).
    When I enter the next arena all CDs are meant to reset.
    None of the ones on Xbar do.
    I was hitting Rallying Cry today and it was (supposedly) on CD even though it should have reset at the start of the arena. That is not lag, latency or a visual discrepancy. I tried it without TullasCooldown Count incase there was a confict. No change. Probably cost me the game.
    Probably works fine if there's no "abnormal reset" like there is in arenas.
    If there's no fix I'll just have to find something else.

    Recklessness can now be used in all stances, I was running out of space on my Battlestance bar - which is why I picked up xbar.
    If I switch stances to fury - it shows Recklessness definitely as being off cooldown.

    New version up with some minor bug fixes, added Inner Will and Dark Intent to XBuffBar.

    Note for inc gamers/wow matrix users: The files over at inc gamers were corrupted with a virus and the page is now inaccessible (versions 4.06 and 4.07 at the least); I have contacted the site admins about it. I saw on the forums that a few of the addons were infected without the knowledge or intent of the authors. The files posted here and at wowinterface should be clean. My addon should only contain files of the following file types: *.lua, *.toc, *.xml, *.tga, *.txt, none of which contain executable code.
