About xCT+ Combat Text

Updated for WoD!

Created for optimal performance in the toughest fights, a rugged combat text add-on is finally ready to be put to the test!


xCT+ is immensely based off the add-on xCT by braindump (aka Affli). It strives to be as minimalistic as possible while maintaining ease of use. That is why, introduced in version 3, you can now configure all settings while in-game.

Overall, xCT+ is a replacement for Blizzard’s scrolling combat text. It is superior to the default combat text because xCT+ organizes incoming healing, incoming damage, and outgoing damage/healing into their own frames, while minimizing spam.


For those that have used Affli’s xCT Add-On, xCT+ expands the functionality of its predecessor. New features include:

  • An In-Game Configuration Tool
  • Frames for tracking Criticals, Loot and Money, Spell Procs, Unit Power (Mana), and Class Combo Points
  • A grid when positioning the frames
  • Tons of new options and features

    Floating combat text

    Hello I still get the floating combat text on character even tho its disabled in the blizzard settings. Is there a way to remove it in xCT?

    That is:
    I have the xCT combat texts, but I still get the floating blizzard combat text on character at the same time.

    Hey, is it possible to have the target names that the heals are directed to on outgoing heals?  Inside brackets or something? Couldn't find such options, and wondered if its even possible?

    new version is amazing!! Just a couple of suggestions:

    - Add an option to add a spell to aoe merge

    - When abreviate is ON, in test mode it's off. 

    - Is it possible to make abreviate like 13.4K instead of 13k?

    FINALLY! Been waiting forever for this :)


    Edit: Make sure the update overwrites the old version or you delete it manually. You'll end up with two xCT addons and they'll conflict. Derp.

    The Addon is so great, in combi with elv SLE really beautiful. But 1 "problem" for me - can i change the scrollspeed? - im not so fast to read the numbers in the outgoing frame.

    I tried to find it by mysel - textsize an so on is changed, but i found nothing to change the speed.

    Ya, that is currently the only work-around to this problem.   Might be fixed in the future, or I might just remove the merging of dual weilding merging
