About XLoot

Notes about new version and the major changes made

If you are experiencing more than one problem, please make sure you completely remove XLoot and download it fresh from here or the Curse Client.

After that, please create or comment on a existing ticket with your error(s)

All options are available via /xloot or Interface -> AddOns -> XLoot (/xlm toggles Monitor's anchors, /xlg toggles Group's)

About

XLoot is a small group of addons which improve looting in WoW by replacing default frames.

XLoot Frame
Replaces the Loot Frame, adding more information and behavior/appearance options.
XLoot Group
Replaces Group Loot frames, modifies Loot Alerts/Bonus Roll frame
Group frames display current roll choices, the rolled numbers, and the winner.
If you experience any problems rolling on items, please disable XLoot Group and post a report with any error.
I understand this may cause you to lose out on a item, which is extremely unfortunate.
However, I am unable to debug it myself as I no longer play, but welcome any errors or volunteer debugging efforts.
The rest of XLoot can be used safely without Group.
XLoot Monitor
Shows a "toaster" for looting items, similar to Guild Wars 2, allowing you to either more visibly see what you and others loot, or remove loot messages from your chat box all together.
XLoot Master
Provides a more convenient Master Looter menu

Any of these modules (Frame, Group, Monitor, Master) can be disabled like any other addon if you do not want their functionality.

Masque Skins

Not all Masque skins will work without adjustment.

Please see XLoot\skins.lua (Comments at the top) and then XLoot\SKIN_TWEAKS.lua (See examples and add tweak for skin here)

Old versions

I understand that these are large changes and may take adjustment. If you have suggestions as to how to improve the mod or something you want from the old version, please let me know.

If you are offended by these changes, a mop-compatible version will remain here but will not be supported: http://www.wowace.com/addons/xloot/files/429-mop-3-release/

I welcome your feedback.

    Xuerian,

Thank you for putting this all together.  It looks great on screen and the latest link fix should make life easier, our raid is tonight and I will find out at that point.

A question for you and this is just something that I was thinking about.  MoP introduced the new loot rolls window that seemed at first unnecessary, but ended up being very useful at the end of raid to make sure all loot was accounted for during the raid.  Is there some way to integrate this into xloot monitor perhaps?  It isn't necessary by no means because I have my DKP addon that monitors all awarded loot, it was just nice having that little window off to the side and be able to have that info instead of having to open up MRT.

Thank you for everything you did here.  This addon was one of the first addons I have ever used and I have been using it for years as it is a part of my core addons for my interface.  I honestly thought I was going to have to replace it at some point, but I am glad that you are still working on it when you can.

You mean the loot history window and the functionality where leaders can start rolls on their own? Possbily at some point, but honestly it functions fairly well already. There's a key or slash command to bring it up that I don't recall right now, if you weren't aware.(as helpful as that isn't)

I used Xloot 1.0 before switching to this version a week ago.  That was the last time I had that window open up for me.  That was why I asked about the loot history window.

Try disabling Group and seeing if it shows up or not. I'll look in to it though, that should be the module that causes it if any. Until I figure it out you can always macro /loot to a ugly, temporary button :p

Actually I didn't know about that and I will have to look that up as I thought it was disabled from your addon. But to answer your first question, that is exactly what I am looking at.  I know the window has an option in the interface menu, but since I have installed this version over xloot 1.0, I have not seen the window pop up.

    Thanks again.

/loot appears to bring it up, though I'm not sure why it stopped appearing with XLoot. Perhaps the default group frames control its visiblity. When was it showing up formerly?

    XLoot Monitor

Is there a way to completely disable the fade out from the Xloot Monitor?  The old stand alone monitor had that option, but it seems like the new version doesn't.

Could you describe what functionality you would like? The very old Monitor used a entirely different method of showing "rows", and it's been a very long time since I looked at or used it.

Also the old Xloot Monitor showed (and updated) totals differently.

The new versions has the totals shown on the item's icon (very difficult to understand white numbers on various light coloured icons).

Also, the new version it seems not to update the totals on the fly (like the old versions did), if I get various items in the time alloted for the rows to be shown.

These 2 things and possibly a third of item icon being a little bigger than necessary, would be my current dislikes. :)

Also, without Dominos, Pitbull, Satrina and Xloot I cannot play the game. Just to give you an idea of how important is your addon and work for me. Perhaps that's why I previously over-reacted when the switch to the unified addon brought clashes with older addons (couldn't you just remove/delete them on the install phase?).

I prefer the totals to be listed in the item icon, did I forget to add a outline to it? That would make it distinguishable.

Also, a icon size might be a option, I'll consider it.

As far as disabling the old ones, it tries to. Additionally, I've made the old ones empty stubs, so if they're updated they won't clash and will warn that they should be removed. It can't delete them, this is as much as I can do.

I see that it's important to you and I'm glad you mostly like it. I've opened a ticket for that option. http://www.wowace.com/addons/xloot/tickets/84-icon-size-options/

I'm sorry, but this is not accurate. /rl was included in Ace2, which XLoot no longer uses at all. If you have no other Ace2 addon, then /rl will not work for you - only /reload or /reloadui.

If you are having other issues, please make sure you remove any and all of the old versions of XLoot before you install the new one.

When it should be shown and in what channel is visible under "Frame" -> "Link all button", but the default "In groups" setting was broken. Please update to the latest version and it should be fixed and show up.

Uninstall "XLootMonitor", install from this page. It's now included as a (optional) module in XLoot, with unified options and a smaller footprint.
