Rumor: BioWare at work on a new KOTOR?

This will be such an awesome game if it's true. I'm 99% sure it's true, though. Bioware is making an MMO and partnered with Lucasarts right after announcing that they are making it.

Wondering what that BioWare/Lucasarts project was going to be? Oh, come on. Like you couldn't guess. During EA's analyst report earlier today, it was seemingly revealed that in addition to working on more Mass Effect, Dragon Age and a "New MMO", BioWare are also handling a new Knights of the Old Republic title. Which means that, if accurate, it's not their upcoming MMO. So, a new, straight-up RPG, then? Probably. If this is indeed correct (and we're checking with EA), your excitement glands can't possibly repel joy of this magnitude.

    Eh.. Rumors I'll take with a grain of salt (And a gallon of water). I'm more excited for a new Mass Effect, rather than a new MMO based on KOTOR. They already tried that. (SWG anyone?)

    Yeah but this seems to say that the new KotoR WONT be a MMO. Thoguh if it was it is bound to do better and even Replace the Sony title known as SWG (which everyone including me a old player hates after the NGE update).

    But SWG was set nearer the events of the episodes though.

    We need another KOTOR. I miss playing the old ones

    SWG wasn't based on KOTOR. It was an MMO based on the events of the movies. The KOTOR story line is set 5000 years pre-episode 1 and thus, has nothing to do with SWG.

    I reported on this a while back and, tbph, It's not looking like it will be their MMO at all. They've listed this project and their MMO as two individual projects on their website as well as in this report by EA. Now BioWare and Lucas Arts could be trying to throw sand in our eyes and it could all be a massive conspiracy (yada yada) and they could both be the same preoject but...

    I'm more inclined to go with a Lucas Arts + BioWare KOTOR3 and a BioWare only MMO because BioWare and Lucas Arts didn't part on the greatest of terms after KOTOR1. BioWare will have also been aware of the relationship between SOE and Lucas Arts and I think that would put them off as well.

    I could be wrong though :S

    Hell yeah, but I hope this time they WON'T over rush the production of KOTOR3 (Like they did with kotor2... a lot of interesting stories had dead ends, closed doors that should lead to somewhere (the map says it leads to some location, but the door is magnetically sealed without ANY way whatsoever of opening it, like that Military Door thingy on Telos old military base...)

    I love kotor, although I must admit that KOTOR is very doable as a MMO...
