Hi all,
This weekend we released Curse Client version 3.0.0.4 for Windows, and I wanted to post notes on what changed to keep communication flowing on the progress with the client.
We've taken all of the recent feedback into consideration and are working -- not only on the client side of things, but also on the website side -- to ensure that the client and all of its features only get better moving forward.
Curse Client 3.0.0.4 (Windows) Update Notes
- Addons are no longer flagged with the "This addon appears to have been modified" icon, when files are edited by WowMatrix.
- When WoW or WAR are running, the client will no longer attempt to
update itself, even if the game is running in windowed mode.
- The Curse Profiler addon installation behavior has changed. This behavior is also implemented in the latest Mac Curse Client build.
- It is now a prompt display when running the installer, which users must then opt into, rather than the old functionality of needing to opt out.
- If the user changes the "By default, automatically install the Curse
Profiler..." option, the client will prompt them asking if they wish to
enable/disable the behavior for all games.
- The "Curse Premium Preview" message will no longer appear for first time users.
- An advertisement will now appear for non-Premium flagged accounts, to the right of the "Show Info" box. These ads are delivered directly by Curse.com, rather than through ad networks.
If you already have the client installed, it should have updated automatically. If you would like to start out fresh with version 3.0.0.4, you can download the client from the above link.
