This comes as quite a surprise.  Two of the most renowned and successful guilds in World of Warcraft -- Nihilum and the former SK Gaming (Curse) PvE team -- have decided to join forces for Wrath of the Lich King, under a new guild name, with the focus being the best in the world.

"A major change in the World of Warcraft PvE community happened today as the two best guilds in the world, Nihilum and the former SK Gaming have now merged together and will form a new guild."

...

"Two of the most dominant forces in World of Warcraft PvE will merge together to form what may possibly be the strongest force for Wrath of the Lich King. Nihilum and former SK PvE will officially merge together on the 25th of November under a new brand name."

To find out more about the merger, head over to the SK Gaming news or the new guild's placeholder website.  They promise to announce everything on November 25th of this year.

    ยป Press Release

We are proud to announce the forming of a new force in World of Warcraft. Many of you will remember the guilds Nihilum and SK Gaming(Curse) from the past years, we have now decided to combine our strengths to create the number one team for Wrath of the Lich King and beyond. We have spent a considerable amount of time forging the greatest roster ever assembled in this game and we are now ready to take on anything that is released. To support this roster we have finally found an appropriately motivated team to back us and help us reach our full potential. Together we aim to deliver a much more professional and WoW tailored experience to the community than anything else that has been done in the past.

At this point we are just offering a taste of what's to come. As the name suggests we are going to be doing our full launch on the 25th of November under a new brand but we wanted to let the community know that we are combining our efforts prior to this launch. So what is coming on the 25th? We are going to launch a new portal that's built around the guild with the goal of being one of the best World of Warcraft community sites. So watch this space until the 25th. You will find us leveling up on Magtheridon and striving for world firsts in the new wave of content.

Thomas "Kungen" Bengtsson - Guild Master

Philip "Mek" Curry - Guild Master

Markus "Mackzter" Dahlgren - Guild Master

hey wos......what? I agree with Simulo in that usually guilds that lose a lot of members are the ones that merge. Either way, I can't wait to see the theorycrafting threads on their guild website. If I can access it....and if it's in English.

lol @ the tards like MChamblee, who still think raiding takes 14hrs...l-o-l.

i work, go to morning classes monday/wednesday and yet i STILL raided places like Hyjal and SWP; and oh-em-gee the raids were 4hrs long twice a week.

scrubs like you are the reason raids are so easy; f-ing casuals...

    on a side note:

hope Nih, and SK aren't falling apart....that's usually what causes mergers :(

Why do some people have to be so negative about this? I for one eagerly await what results of this merger.

As for PvE being for noobs...PvE is nearly 3/4 of the entire game, if not more. If you don't like PvE, I suggest you go play Warhammer.

MChamblee, you must just be another jobless kid if you have enough time to read this article right?  Leave the stereotypes at the door and learn to use what well have before posting.  A brain.

lol you're saying that about a game with crappy pvp.

  • Tue, Nov 11 2008 6:20 PM ()

pve...who the hell cares? pve is for noobs.

    ...and you're fat

MChamblee is just jealous that his mom doesnt allow him to play that much and would never be accepted into a guild like that.

MChamblee, who are you telling to "L2type"?

  • Tue, Nov 11 2008 11:23 AM ()

No cristyan1, the old guild that became SK Gaming used to be affiliated with the old curse-gaming site, but that is no more

  • Tue, Nov 11 2008 11:16 AM ()

lol big deal mergers never work. i give it 2 months tops

  • Tue, Nov 11 2008 10:54 AM ()

MChamblee, i know one of them and he's a father with 2 kids and a fulltime job...

  • Tue, Nov 11 2008 9:05 AM ()

Somebody should record the vent when these guilds raid. This is gonna be guild drama at its finest! Who gets the best gear? What if people from one guild are favored over the other? Somebody needs to think up a name for this upcoming clash of the premadonnas of WoW. Taking suggestions......

call me crazy or noob, but Curse.com belongs to SK Gaming?:|

  • Tue, Nov 11 2008 5:46 AM ()

its nothing more than hype about jobless kids who have the time to raid 14 hrs a day. im not impressed nor am i surprised. congrats to them but in the same right whos to say drama does not ensue and cause problems. stop adding hype, and L2type.

not all that exciting....guilds do it on servers all the time, when they don't have enough people to do the raids they want to do. They merge with other guilds so they can do them. This is just a couple more well-known guilds than most other guilds. I just find it funny that you say stuff like 'This comes as quite a surprise' when it is this sites own guild LOL for a site to already be made and being worked on as it is, this has been in the works for some time.
