We have some new information regarding Aion that was talked about at the recent Jeju Island Conference on June 20th. There was an interview performed at the conference with one of Aion's developers and they shared quite a bit of new info.

First of all, there is going to be in-game customization of armor using color potions(dyes more than likely) and different cloth styles. There is also consideration being given to allowing armor itself to be customizable, which would allow different stats for the same armor items.

The death penalty for players was discussed as well: while there will be no items dropped when dying, there will be a minimal experience penalty incurred.

The upcoming 1st CBT will offer game-play for Elyos (Chun) until level 20, with PVP arenas also being available. While flying will be possible in some areas during this play session, it will not be possible to fight while flying - so no flying combat just yet. The Asmodians will also not be available for play yet.

A player's wings can be traded with other players, and can also be dyed with special color potions, much like armor. There will also be different variants of wings available to further customize the look.

Aion will have chain attacks, similar to other games like FFXI, and the developer suggested that they will be very important to combat. Different classes will be able to chain abilities together to take advantage of one another, such as one character using a knock-down attack, and another following it up with an attack that's strong against knocked down foes.

Of the 8 classes announced so far, they will most likely all be the same or similar for the Asmodians, though the advanced classes will probably differ.

On top of this new information, we also have a few images showing off armor art for different types of armor in Aion. Once again, NCSoft shows off their ability to create impressive-looking armor.
