Curse

V4 Launch delayed until Monday the 23rd of July

Greetings everyone,

In this thread we announced our intended launch of Curse.com. Over the past few days, the team here at Curse has been working diligently to resolve the last set of bugs.

We have uncovered a great deal of them, and are working on fixing them before we launch so that we have a fully functional website in all areas. Due to this, we have decided to postpone the official launch of curse.com until Monday the 23rd of July.

We ask that you all please take a trip over to the new website and do some last minute testing and bug reporting while we prepare the new website for a smooth and stable launch.

On behalf of the Curse team,

Thanks!

I don't care how long you use to fix the bugs, as long as I know how good the result will be/is (and I know^^)

Take your time, guys :) Remember that we still have v3, and that is still fully functional, and works fine to get the job done ;)

    But m0000m?!? :) (*whine*)

As suggested in the post head over to the new site - Try out the functions you normally use and if doesn't work as intended report it on the http://trac.curse-gaming.com

I dont hope the theme at curse.com is the one that will be in version 4.0... Way to white.. and the big add at the top jus doesn't look that good.

We will be offering a choice hopefully by this weekend.

    I totally agree with Anoxious.

Indeed, all the "whiteness" of the new site looks a bit boring tbh. Still... i've been using v4 site since it became available to try out for everyone. I thouroughly enjoy the new look, despite the whiteness :)

Would be nice to have an option for the current theme in V4 :) Its good for the eyes. The whiteness kills my eyes!

There is a darker design in the build - Nimloth posted a picture of it in the earlier thread announcing the initial release. It really looks wicked :)~~

I agree that the color scheme of v3 is nice, but that's about it. :P

I dare say the dark theme for v4 is even better though.

Indeed, 19th and (still) get email invalid.

the invalid email is due to restructuring of the database. In short, user accounts are stored differently in v3 website than in V4, and we have not run the conversion script on everyone from v3 yet :]

This problem should be solved as soon as we migrate v3->v4 with launch later today!

We delayed the launch to Monday. we felt the site was not ready yet to go live.

When the final release finally is released (nice formulation, don't ya think?^^), will the old address (http://www.curse-gaming.com) forward the user to the v4-site? It's gonna look pretty "homebrew" (non-professional) if v3 and v4 are parallel operative =P

yeah the old site will forward to the page you're looking for on the new site.

Can I know what script you used to make the lovely drop downs? I want that for a personal site, the slide down drawers are very clean looking!
