why cant i DL the client? every time i click a link for the Client install site i just get the site with the Q&A, but no DL button or whatsoever

I have and ACU Issue ... Vanguard run admin, not CurseClient.

Workaround : Kill client & run again as admin (uncheck autostart and put a shortcut with admin check on startup)

Yeah that is very hard to work around. It's more a problem with how Sigil designed Vanguard and the fact that they didn't separate out the user specific data to the correct Windows directories. If you do have a secure setup like and you want it to work with Vanguard, then running the client as admin is probably the only thing you can do since the Vanguard part of the application needs to be able to interface with Vanguard.

When will the install buttons start appearing?

solexious, there's some technical difficulties with the website and the extreme high load we're experiencing during this patch. The update is waiting but we're unsure whether we can push it under these circumstances.

Every time I attempt to run the client I get a message saying that it has stopped working and has to close. I am running on Vista but I read before I downloaded that it's supposed to work. I tried unistalling and then reinstalling but I'm still getting the same thing. Both times it will let me try to login the very first time I run it and then give me the error but every other time it won't even let me get that far. Is there anything else I can try? Or could it be stemming from the site trouble?

Also, whatever happened to the favorites system? sure you can still have favorites, but curse won't tell you when they're updated. Then there's the folders system, I used o just be able to link to a folder to show everyone what mods I use, now I can make folders, but they don't do anything.

Asp, will hate me for this, but Mac users you may want to try "Crossover" (http://www.codeweavers.com/products/). From my quick tests it seems to handle everything fine, you will just need to create a text file (or something similar) in your WoW directory called "wow.txt".

It even managed to auto detect my WoW install ;)

I can't get past the log on page. I enter the same user name and password I use to log into curse.com but it keeps saying that the user name and password are not valid, or something similar to that. Is there some port I need to open up on my firewall? I am running windows vista 32 bit with microsoft live onecare for firewall/antivirus.

The new client is not picking up my new character from Vanguard. I created a Sorcerer on Saturday and it has still not appeared in my list.

Any idea why?

I've love to use it for addon management, but the instant I hit "login" under Vista the program crashes, even using compatibility mode.

I just downloaded the client and it keeps on saying Failed to login. I'm not running a Mac. I keep on putting in my real curse.com account name and password, but it stills says Failed to login. Can someone please help me?
