Initially EA offered to buy Take Two Interactive (makers of the GTA series) in February but got their offer turned down and thus continued to make hostile bids instead – something that

Well said ArenaceusMaga! Westwood... The company that made the original and made it best? Gone. The new games are merely passable and won't contend with SC2 or even the Warhammer games.

I'll give you factual information! Give me the names of the companies EA has bought out and I'll show you their crap products since the acquisition. Maxis? The Sims games are continually turned out and change absolutely nothing. Hope for Spore? Hmmm... We'll see, Will may have gotten his hands on something he can work with.

DICE? Battlefield series was amazing. They developed BF2 as they were being bought, put it out and its stupendous. What happened when they were purchased? BF2142, a game clearly less than its predecessors so much so they never got a fan base and BF2 is still their game.

Bioware? While a good game, Mass Effect was clearly rushed out the door before it was made to the specs a Bioware game normally has. If you've played any of their games previous, you know exactly what I mean by this. A bunch of repetative "dungeons" with a mocked up storyline to make it seem fleshed is NOT their way of working. We haven't seen anything else from them since the EA situation.

Take Two is so against the idea, theres rumors they've done what crazy business men call a Poison pill, making it a complete waste of time to go after them.

EA is not a good company. Ask me about other companies, and I'll say very different things too. I'm not just against big business. EA is *** because they buy IP and make *** and don't care how it sells as long as they make profit. Nowadays in the VG market, its almost impossible to NOT make money on regular games (MMO's being an exception to this rule).

Maybe I haven't changed your mind on EA, but I did provide you with at least SOME information on numbers and how the purchased IP's never size up to anything more than Passable, and normally SHEISSE.

*edit* Oh oh! Remember Hellgate:London? :-D
