I am afraid of Raiding

I am afraid to Raiding

Many Guilds are disbanding in my sever that I go to because of Raiding issue like gear, additudes, whinning, ego's that it brings frustration and hurts relationship with players.Sad enough that many join raid guilds to have fun but of course raiding comes at a price with repair cost and other things, that it builds tention among players many leave these Guilds,or worse a Guild Leader leaves it because of those Issues and don't want to deal with those issue. I been In so many Guilds its not even funny by how many Disband except for one.

Guildmaster I can't mention name of the Guild I don't want to make them well know as they are, handed over leadership to someone else of course made a big speech telling us the history of the guild, and the reason for creating the guild to make it into a Family which brought up good point which at first I didn't like the Guy, sure we had arugments in the guild but we always solve them like it was a family when I was in the Guild after hearing his speech that he wanted to be a player again not a Guildmaster anymore, I respect him for what he said I wasn't going to disrespect him for it, he had a good reason because one piss off guild mate had left and started rude rumors about the guild that it burn out our Guildmaster that it hurt the reputation of the guild.

I am afraid to raid places like Karazhan for example because the Guild that I was in, broken up because of it, that it became many Guilds obsession to raid that place because of the gear or the guild wants to be well know by being on the the top of the list of many websites like Wowjutsu.com.I want to raid but I want to have fun and raid with friends I am use to try to do the best I can to have fun, but It seems like raiding is becoming more complicated then that for other players like myself.

I might consider raiding Karazhan in the near future I am going to raid it freelance Pug so I hope to do ok I been ask by someone from a ex-guildy I am going to be coming with crap gear on.

I can see your issue...I have my own guild which is all family and friends. BUT...being on a PVP server ghetto gear isn’t the way to win ANY PVP fight in world or arena. I don’t raid because I like to have fun and I don’t have the time to commit to 2 hours or more in an instance. I have a family that needs to eat, have clean cloths and do homework. I am not an elitist nor is it crucial for me to puff up my chest and be top dog. I have NEVER been the player who is obsessed and HAS to play, well except when I was grinding Dragonmaw rep for my mount:-) If a fully decked out player comes over and kills me...I hope he feels better about himself…and can sleep better, full S3 gear and he is killing me ...a 70 in all green ghetto gear...but damn I look good flying away from his ass :-). I only get upset if it becomes a game....then I call in the FRIENDS and TCB. A guild that wants to have fun and be "family" is easy...you just friend up with larger raiding guilds...send your raiders over to them, and you will see if you want to raid you can, they will usually invite. We used to have 102 folks we are now down to about 20 friends. My 6 year old son plays in my guild as does my 20 year old daughter...my husband has 8 70's and all but 1 are in our guild...we are friends with raiding guilds and he goes with them to raid...and he pairs up with me to do dailies. Remember...it is a GAME...not a lifestyle. Just have fun. And you can gear up a little better now for a price with rep...so at least you are in Target gear...not Walmart wear when you head off to takle Kara.

In the predictable future Kara will be forgotten place like MC/Naxx it is now. So if you want to visit this place do it now in pug or whatever. Kara isnt considered as a gear source now (except alts and weekend gamers' toons). Its a place with easy badges only.

However I share the observations of guilds disbanding these days much more often than few months ago. At least on my server we are in th eearly stage of very bad disease called pre-wotlk syndrom. We all observed many months ago something very similiar and we memorised it as pre-bc syndrom.
Pretty soon your imba epic gear will be worse than 1st, ok, 2nd green crap you will get from outdoor trash. We didnt know it that time, but we had some suspicious. Now we are pretty sure of it, so why to bother raiding? To check how some parts of the content looks like only. Curiosity killed a cat. And wiped a raid I need to add :)

    Happy hunting.

This would have been much easier to read if your essay would have included proper grammar usage, and if you organized your ideas into sentences.

You made a good point like you said "Its just a game",but the way people act in my experience when I was in a Guild called "Unholy Redemption" which they disband because they couldn't find any level 70's to Raid Karazhan at the time I was level 54 when I join them, then disbanded when I was level 63.

They use to be top raiding guild on the sever now they're gone because members left because they wanted to raid Karazhan so badly they never shut up about it so they join other guilds instead. Its sad that raiding ruin the relationship of Guild that its members who we all known and respected the most abandon the Guild.

You can get on the top of wowjutsu by raiding Kara?

  • Fri, Apr 11 2008 8:12 AM ()

I am lucky that i am in a very very chill raiding guild were you can raid a little or a lot. People generally dont care about your spec or even if your rolling in pvp gear. Everyone is casual and nice and people never yell or get angry. Its the perfect guild. And we are progressing very fast. I hope you can find a casual raiding guild like mine.

Sadly the Raiding Guilds have poor reputations. They are extremenly hard to start as everyone is in a guild of somekind. The few times I have ran with a Raiding guild the storty is the same. My gear sucks, my healing sucks, I am called rude and while it was they who asked me to help them because they are short on healers I am to blame for the wipes and not finishing Kara Bosses.

I am dying to run NAX, Molton Core, Black Rock Spire but everyone is so tainted on PUGs or "Leet" Raid Guilds that finding toons to run those places is overwhelming difficult.

The guild <Blonde's Minion> is my attempt to create a good casual Raider guild for toons that want to explore the world and have some fun solving puzzles.

One goal of <Blonde's Minion> is to have toons run all the instances in proper order. That way they can build gear sets and have the proper sequence of mobs to learn how to fight harder mobs. Each progressive step gains the toon experience, gear, and enhancements for resist that are needed to get to the next instance.

Take the SunWell as an example. I ran Mage Terrace the first day it was open. It was rough. We had to wipe and wipe and wipe. The group reformed several times. We finally got it done the first day, but it was hard to do. I was doing something wrong.

WoW had us run the reputation quests to get the experience and items we needed to do better in Mage Terrace. Each daily built up to help toons find the right mix of gear and experience. Then the gear for rep provided the protection needed to run Mage Terrace.

Then I worked the dailies till I reached exhalted. What a learned from the Daily Quests was that I needed Arcane Protection and resist. Where had the daily's sent me? To places to collect materials to make Arcane resistance gear. To fight mobs that hit me with Arcane. And what I ended up with was better Arcane gear.

This the same pattern taught from BRD. Fire. All the quests build to make your gear better Fire Resist and teach you how to fight Black Irons. Its a slow process but I see now how Blizz was preparing us to run these instances.

But there is a segment of the Toon Population that does work with the Enviroment but rather fights the Enivronment. They use PVP or the forces of too much Gold to purchase the "best" gear to let them use brute force in the Instance. Blizz has seen this and is retaliatiing with Instances that are "Geared" to the PVE toons who have worked their way through the instances in order.

The world of Azeroth and Outland is tons of fun, but only if you Play the Game. Just like the Twinks in BG have made BG boring at best and a Curse fest at worse, the Badge Twinks in Instances, are just not fun toons to run with anymore. Over Geared and Under Learned soon become boring. If you have ever seen a "Chav" you sort of know what I am talking about.

Yes, also other Websites like http://www.bosskillers.com/ you can regester your Guild they give you a World Rank of your Guild, what Bosses you down, but you have to show them proof of your Guild killing a Boss with movies or a screenshot.

Well I did on the Alliance side on a sever Emerld Dreams with my Warlock I manage to level to 70. The Guild I am with called Myrmidon Council I manage to beat Gruul, and few bosses in Karazhan with my my crapy S1 PVP gear I farm in Battlegrounds on my Warlock which I am lucky I respec to Demonology I survied a lot of the blows I got from Gruul.

The only issue people have with the Guild is how they run the Guild raid events on Guild Event Manager having them sign up only on GEM and not many people would download it and *** at our Guild master who is female( I don't have a problem with her) she told us just sign up on GEM, show up on sever time, if you don't thats your fault not ours and I didn't have a problem with that I respected and listen well enough to understand thats how they run it.That guild is not well liked but they seem like nice people they only Raid if they posted it on GEM thats how they run it.
