Open Beta has Officially Begun!

It's Friday 30 March 2007, do you know where your Hobbits are? If you pre-ordered your copy of Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar you do! Turbine has opened the flood-gates and the seven new servers are UP and available for play!

While they're calling this "Open Beta", it's only open beta for a select few, comparatively speaking. So I guess it's semi-open. TRUE Open Beta starts next Friday Aprith 6th. For the true believers that pre-ordered, head on in NOW and when you're ready to write your review, show your screenshots, or make that GUI add-on... remember that Curse is the place where everyone can contribute!

    This looks like it's gonna be a good game. I'll try it out for sure ;) Anyone got any more info about this? (fees/free to play?, where to get the beta thing, will it be like WoW? How is the gameplay? etc..)

    People having trouble logging in or it shows the servers as 'closed' to you, please go here: http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?t=33034

    To join open beta NOW you need to have pre-ordered the game thru a retailer. Otherwise you can get in next friday.

    Game is not free to play. Same as other games basically unless you pre-order. Pre-orders can choose between $9.99 a month or a $199 Lifetime membership. ;)

    Oh, and the game rocks!

    I started the open beta on friday and I have to say it is a very nice game. I have been playing WOW for about a year now and I find LOTRO just as exciting.
