    Ride the Soul Draaaain!

    On the Horizon

As a gamer, one always looks out for the most innovative and recent games and technologies to tinker with, maybe even get serious about. The reason I even played WoW was due largely to the new, fresh game smell it had, and how it was supposed to be an innovative MMORPG version of the amazing Warcraft Series. Not to bring WoW down or anything, but it was a bit disappointing to find the game so... normal. It was, in my opinion, just a rough collection of Warcraft material in an MMORPG facade that could be re-sold to people who had already bought it. They didn't even try to make it better. It was a money-making scheme, and will always be just that to Blizzard. Sadly, this game had the most potential to be greater, but I suppose since I don't make games, I must be missing out on the rough cruelties of the business. I do still enjoy the game, just not as much as I figure I would if Blizzard cared more... At any rate, Vivendi has merged with Activision (as I'm sure everyone knows by now), and I see this as a good thing. While there are obvious problems, Activision will not take over how World of Warcraft is made; in fact, Blizzard is still a seperate entity. However, I feel Activision's innovative work (such as the Guitar Hero games) might rub off on Blizzard. It's a stretch, I know, but it's the best we can hope for.

Though, I hope we won't have to press silly buttons on a staff/sword/mace controller though. :P

    Punny

As you may have noticed, my blog titles are warlock puns. Sorry if they're bad, but it's what I do. This one is a bit harder. It's a pun on the show "Soul Train".

    The Man in Command

Azureth has hit level 55. Though, from what I posted last time, I don't think any of you will find it as news. :P And still, the hunt for a BRD group continues. No end in sight. I got close today, but one left, then the other left, and finally I was the only one left. :( Oh well, guess I'll just have to keep trying. The quests keep building up, though, so I have to finish it off soon. I might level twice in one whole run from the way the quests are looking. About 6 quests, all yellow to red, and then you add in the experience from the mobs and stuff -- I'm already quite a few percentages into the level, so I'll likely hit two dings in one run.

Anyways, I'm going to do WSG for a bit to get my marks of honor. I am bursting at the seams with honor, but I want to get the [Dryad's Wrist Bindings], since they're not only epic and come in every ten levels, but they're worthwhile for me as a lock. So, if you see an Azureth in the BG from Lothar, send a message my way. Unless you're Horde, in which a swift kicking-your-butt will do just fine. Alliance FTW!

    In Other News

If you want to get ahold of me, but I'm not on any of the messengers listed on my profile, send a message to me on MySpazz: www.myspace.com/randallarms (yea, that's my real name). I can't guarantee I'll get back to you quickly, but I will get back to you eventually. :D

    The Bloggity Blog Look

Okay, as you may have already noticed (or maybe not, I dunno), I've radically redesigned the way my posts look. From now on, or at least until I get a better format for these, I'm gonna make my posts look as fanciful and organized as this. Please comment on the look, and any suggestions would be nice. :D

    Cheap Advertisement, or Clever Marketing?

Alright, know that I don't know the maker of this site personally, but there's a really good gamer's comic out there. Right now, it's a bit slow on the plot, but the updates are fairly quick, and there's even little mini-comics to hold us over until the next big one. It's mainly cracks at games and gamers, largely focused around several main characters.

www.ctrlaltdel-online.com is the comic I speak of. Many people have heard of it, but just in case you haven't, you're missing out. Go give it a look if you haven't already.

    Senor Azureth

Anyways, I've done nothing interesting on Azureth yet, except do the smart thing and leave Winterspring. I thought that maybe I was crazy or something, but a friend confirmed my suspicions that drop rates there...well.. suck. [Are We There, Yeti?] requires 10 Thick Yeti Furs (or something like that), and I've gotten about 3 in the past two days I've been there. I'll admit, I'm a really slow gamer, but that's a bit too slow for me.

At any rate, I'm now trying to get into Blackrock Depths. On my realm, Lothar, it seems like no one at all is trying to find a group, and the ones that are don't want you. I've been in BRD just once, and we hardly made it to the second named creature. We even had a 70 come in at one point, but she had to leave. I know it's a worthless plead, but if anyone's on Lothar and wants to group for BRD, send a message my way. I'll thank you for eternity (and so will my Quest Log).

In other news, I broke my vow to never play an alt because some girl convinced me to create a character on Ravenholdt (RPPVP). It's a Troll Priest named Verbos, and he's got whacked-out tusks. Seriously. He's level 6, no big accomplishment as of yet, but I'm still sticking mainly to Azureth. I want so badly to get to 58, for the Dark Portal teases me.

Azureth's Epic Land Mount is not far away. At 54 (and 96% to 55), I'm starting to worry, as all casual locks do. The Epic Mount will involve a quest, I hear, unlike my 40 mount (now a 30 mount QQ), which cost just 85s and I was on my way. I feel [Summon Epic Felsteed] will be worth it though (and if that's not the name of the spell, my bad).

If anyone who reads this (the whole two of you from what I see :P), if you have any characters on Ravenholdt or Lothar, send a message my way. And even though I do figure PvP is where it's all at, RPPVP and Normal will suffice for now.

Now, Azu's gotta actually play, instead of sitting here and typing about playing. Adios, amigos.

    Voidwalker - V-Dub, yo!

    Photobucket

That's my with my Voidwalker, outside of Everlook in Winterspring. For all of you who do not know me (which is everyone!), this is my main character, the Level 54 Human Warlock, Azureth. He's Affliction spec, with crummy gear. Oh yea, let me tell you about it.

I have 4 blues, 10 greens, and 2 whites. The whites are [Blackbone Wand] and [Argent Dawn Commission], so technically only one white that matters. My armor is 560 unbuffed (1040 with Demon Armor), but that doesn't matter. I have 151 Stamina, 173 Intellect, and 187 Spirit. I don't know how THAT turned out, but whatever...

Now that you all know Azureth (who has 22 days, 23 hours, 20 minutes, and 44 second /played time), I will be able to post blogs involving him. I don't plan on playing my alts until I'm at 70. He's in the realm Lothar (old skool, baby).
