So far it sounds pretty unbiased. Obviously this is against the EULA for WoW and they point it right out.

The levelling game is one of the better ones, in my opinion, but I have one 70 and three other characters in the low 60s. My stomach turns at the thought of levelling another character.

However, I *would* like to have a level 70 warrior to PvP and raid with. Different games, but that option is locked behind the levelling game.

I wouldn't risk a powerlevelling service myself, but I can surely understand why so many people do.

Pros And Cons Of WoW Powerlevelling, Part 1

I personally do not understand why people go for powerlevelling tbh. It's a gamn, if you do not want to play it
, then don't. Why have someone else do it for you?.

I can understand the daunting thoughts of levelling from 1 to 70 but it doesn't have to be done in a mad furious all or nothing levelling frenzy.

The cost of powerlevelling is daft from what I have heard, you stand the chance [a pretty good chance] of losing your account also.

I have 2 accounts that i dual box which is not against the policies that blizzard have. I run both accounts at the same time with 2 clients running on the same PC. It runs like a dream [a little laggy in the cities if both characters are in a city] and so i'll log one off whilst one character does stuff in the busy city and log the 2nd account in when out of the city. The high level character does the work and the other character is just on follow looting mobs for quest items etc ..... levelling is pretty rapid this way.

I must admit i love playing the game like this as I can re-do the instances on my own, take my time and actually look at the work that has gone into the game that i missed the first time around, exploring azeroth safely with a level 70 protecting the lower levelling character.

I have 2 level 70's [priest and warlock] working on a shammy and warrior currently. They get the best loot from all the instances as i can run them as often as i want, they get all the quests done in quick time .... for the cost of a 2nd account and no risk of losing it.

If you are thinking of powerlevelling services, don't. just get another acct and use the follow command :)

Pros And Cons Of WoW Powerlevelling, Part 1

other than possibility of losing your account the biggest con of power leveling is that you end up at max level with very little idea of how to play your character.

i think a bigger issue with WOW deserving an article is the inability to play with friends who may have been on a different server. or, you joined a server the game recommended only to find out that it was in a totally different time zone several levels later. or, you moved and now you have to pay a ridiculous fee to have you chracter transferred in less than an hour. a server transfer fee is unacceptable. i've discovered old friends over the past two years who play this game. we're all on different servers and it's completely frustrating. it would be nice to have a grace period by server rotation or 1 free transfer per account. games like guild wars really got the server structure right. wow's is good in theory but frustrating because it alienates you.

Pros And Cons Of WoW Powerlevelling, Part 1

Just a guess, but wouldn't the cost of getting powerleveled be more than the 25$ that Blizzard charges for a server transfer?

Pros And Cons Of WoW Powerlevelling, Part 1

sorry strat but that is the most off topic post here.

quote [wow's is good in theory but frustrating because it alienates you]

Choose the right server in the first place and your fine or tell your friends where you are so they can choose the right server. You wanna move then you pay for it....

Really not sure what your server error has to do with power levelling though really.

Pros And Cons Of WoW Powerlevelling, Part 1

I just started playing WoW about 2 1/2 weeks ago and i spend some time on it i have multi pull level 10 characters and a level 30 lock, and I can't imagine how it can be so drudging to play through to 60 I still can't believe how fast I gain levels sometimes. Each level area takes maybe a day to play through at the most and is almost a guaranteed +10 levels from what I've experienced so far. It seems to me that the real test is from 60 to 70 anyways. Why power level through all the little levels that come quickly to end at the drudging part of 60-70. Besides if you just do the quest in an area and move on to the next area its seems to breeze by. I think people don't realize the benefits of quest especially the fact that when you complete one area there are three other areas of the same level you just finished at the touch of your fingertips with flight paths and the tram. I'm willing to bet that if you really wanted to you could power level your own character just by doing the right quest in the right order in 10-15 days. Blizzard set it up to do so and also gives add'l XP with the new 2.3 patch anyways. If there is any kind of problem its not the XP part its the farming part of the game. Farming for regs, mats, and gold is where it really drags you down, but what I think people don't realize is if you hold off on your professions and focus strictly on leveling you can raise you professions at 60 when no matter what you do the game is going to drag. Stop grinding and stop farming... START QUESTING! lol at least thats a fresh noob's opinion :P
