    It's mostly sweepstakes laws, actually.

There are laws against sending items such as hard-drives to other countries from within the united states. Which is why they are limiting this to the US, I am not sure why Hawaii and Alaska are omitted though. Just enter using a friends address that lives in the continental US? thats a possible work-around for that problem.

Laws that prevent the contest from being available in other countries then the USA? I have won many things from similar gaming sites in the united states while I still live in Canada.

Calm down people. It's NOT Curse that's the cause of this contest not being offered in more places. Maybe if you want to be able to enter contests like this, elect some people in your own countries that won't have such restrictive laws on the books that prevent contests like this from being available to you.

is there any chance of doing a competition for people outside america at some point, perhaps for those of us in britain maybe..

  • Sat, Nov 1 2008 3:58 PM ()

Residents in Alaska and Hawaii can't enter the contest either.

  • Sat, Nov 1 2008 6:25 AM ()

Edit: While i maintain the fact that it is bulls**t these comps are for US residents only, i actally thought Blizz where running this competition, hence ths remarks about subscriptions. I do apologise for that part. i should learn to read before jumping the gun. But yes when are competitons like this going to be available for those outside the US. Curse, if those of us who pay for a subscription to curse and live outside the US, going to be able to enter or will we still get a big FU?

Very disappointed that this contest is only available to USA users, I could do with a new laptop since my last one was destroyed by act of dog..... Seriously gutted

they should change the laws and stop excluding us from contests. :(
