In an effort to apply some of our upcoming 2.2 changes in a more expedited manner, we're hotfixing some elements of the Archimonde encounter. Not every planned change to Archimonde could be hotfixed, the other announced changes will occur with the release of patch 2.2.

The following hotfix changes are now live:

- Archimonde now casts fear in a bit more consistent manner, roughly every 40 seconds.
- Fear's cast time is now 1.5 seconds.
- Grip of the Legion now has only a 60 yard range.
- Red Soul Charge now only silences players for 4 seconds.

Windfury Totem has been fixed (for real, this time) so that instant special attacks such as Slam and Sinister Strike will not trigger its extra attacks. On next swing attacks such as Heroic Strike and Cleave will continue to trigger it.

This is a fairly substantial change to the effect, especially for rogues.

Players will no longer be able to see manyof the creatures at a completely unlimited distance, but at the more normal visibility range you typically experience with outdoor content. No changes were made to the actual spawning of the zone.

We've just deployed two hotfixes to correct issues with a pair of raid encounters.

- During Phase 2 of the Lady Vashj encounter in Serpentshrine Cavern, there was a significant chance that a Coilfang Strider could spawn at a particular point that would cause the creature to evade. The Strider evading would then reset the entire encounter prematurely. We've made a modification to the spawn point that should prevent this behavior.

- During Phase 2 of the Al'ar encounter in Tempest Keep, Al'ar occasionally charges at a random player. The damage dealt by the Charge was severe enough to immediately kill a lightly armored target even if the player was at full health. We've reduced the damage done by this Charge ability.

> The Magtheridon encounter has been rebalanced to be somewhat easier and should now better keep to proper raid progression.

There is also talk of Gruul's hp being reduced as well as the damage on the Shatter effect being much lower, in addition to the changes mentioned in the previous hotfix news post.

Tuesday:

Grull should now correctly use his hurtful strike ability.

Nightbane's melee damage has been reduced.

Nightbane's breath attack and rain of bones now target those players attempting to avoid his attacks.

The Romulo and Julianne encounter has been retuned to be less difficult.

Hydross the Unstable no longer deals a crushing blow.

Warbringer O'mrogg's status will now reset, after a wipe during his enraged state.
