Installation Guide

Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
  - Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
  - WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
  - WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
  - StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
Start World of Warcraft
Make sure AddOns are installed
- Log in
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.

Translations

When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".

TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)

When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.

If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support

WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

I was able to fix the problems with SS and HS buttons, as well as locked screen position by searching my system for all files with necrosis in the name, deleting them, and installing the current version clean from curse.

My SS and HS buttons don't seem to be working right. They will make a stone, but not use it. It just keeps trying to make one.

Also, the Shard counter the current number of shards when I log in, but it does not change.

I've turned off all other add-ons and it is still broken. This problem is present in both Genjutsu's Necrosis and Lomig's Necrosis LdC.

So i really don't know anything about LUA but does it matter that the "Necrosis.lua" file is in French... i don't know but that seems like it would cause problems for an English client... :(.

ALSO I am having a problem that my buttons won't show around the main orb, and the orb click wont work, BUT at least it shows the shards correctly. :)

Just find a spot that reads:
BuffSpellPosition = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, -10, 11},
and delete "-" at 10 and you should be ok.

This doesn't fix MY problem... I still have no buttons around my main orb, HOWEVER i made a new warlock and his buttons are there, I have tried reseting and recalling and nothing works...

I've found a solution for the buff menu bug. The problem is in the LUA file located in necrosis folder in interface. You can open that LUA file with notepad. It has a line: BuffSpellPosition = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, -10, 11},

At 10, there is a "-" delete that line and you SHOULD be able to open your buff menu again AND press that soulwell button since it doesn't have that annoying white box around it that bugs the butten itself.

I have encountered some problems: I no longer get the "shadow trance" audio message or the mini icon on the middle of the screen, the spells are not shown even when I right or left click on the spell radial icon, it is not counting the shards in a proper way, it said I had 24 shard when I had 28. I had to go back to an older version of necrosis. That version works fine except that the "ritual of souls" icon is surrounded by a big white square and cannot be clicked.

Hello ya'all

Okey before you start screaming I left you in the dark and im just a mofo, yes I am ;)
I HAD to stop gaming wow, cause I got seriously addicted (something like 72 hour farming?)
anyway, life changed, I got a chick, dumped her and so im back :P
meanwhile I got myself a life, more friends and some urge to play wow. so IM BACK.
doesnt mean im stealing this guy's support for necrosis or demanding the author-ship of this addon.
rather, I dont promise anything. before dumping myself into the coding again, I gotta get wow back on my pc (including all the lua coding) and get myself a version of necrosis.
so if there is any loving soul around: please email me a version @ mesj.pwnage@gmail.com or email me providing a link. I will download the version located here on the web for now.
and I dont promise updates, or anything, but if I can do anything for the faithfull community out here :P.
so, feel free to spam my profile with comments, send me emails or I dont know what.

IDK what peoples issues are as I see a lot of negative comments, but just wanted to say thanks for updating this. Its been an awesome addon since the original and looking forward to seeing where you can take it.

AND....now I am wondering if there is a way to CHANGE what is said when you summon a demon or your mount. Some of the things are a little.....odd. I would much rather personalize them than have it blared as if I typed it. Great addon otherwise and I am sure I am just picky...

If I click on the SPELL DURATION botton, I get a unit frame in the middle of my screen with no real explanation as to WHY it's there. I cannot get the unit frame to leave the screen unless I run out of range of the unit it has decided to target. There does not seem to be any options, other than turn off, for this floating button....is there a reason or some kind of instruction for why it's there? I would appreciate it, thank you.

Otherwise, for just having downloaded this, I am pretty happy. I would love to see a button included for flying mounts if possible. It seems so odd to have the felsteed mount on there, but not a flying mount. Also, not all of the curses are available on the pulldown menu. Not sure why that is either.

You can use any Mp3 for Backlash just find/create one and Rename it "Backlash". Me personally I use "Must Consume" from protoss.

I had this same bug with the old necrosis hoped this would fix it but no luck. Can anyone tell me why it's not working for me and how I can fix it.

im glad to see someone is picking up this mod, one thing that should be a simple fix but is a hella anoying bug, is that the menu buttons, and the buttons arround the circle dont scale when u scale the main sphere.
