- support for differently shaped minimaps
Automatically works with SimpleMinimap
As it works with SimpleMinimap automatically, and wouldn't change much in other circumstances, there is no GUI control of this option. However, it is possible to manually specify the Minimap style you want via the provided key binding to specify the style you want.
OR via the following slash command :
/pspot -m [#]
Where # is a number specifying the style of map you want to force PartySpotter to use.
Use the keybinding to cycle through the available styles to choose from, or just use "/pspot -m" on its own.
See the Readme.txt file for a list of styles.

Telic saidChanges in v5.05.20400 from v5.03.20300
---------------------------------------
- will now "flash" map units to make them visible when mousing over player buttons on the Battleground score board frame
- if mousing over the Class symbols on the Battleground score board, then all players of that Class will be flash on the map
- if mousing over the Class symbols on the Battleground score board, then the tooltip will display how many players of that class are in the BG
- can now highlight players and track them from the Minimap by Alt-Left Clicking on players of your faction in the Battleground score board
Alt-Left click again to turn off highlighting of that player
Works in the same way as Alt-Clicking on Raid Frame players, or Alt-Clicking on Map Unit dots
Individual player highlighting like this can be turned off by Alt-Left Clicking on their Minimap Icon also
- fixed a problem prefixing chat messages with Raid Group Numbers if that option is enabled
- fixed a potential problem with colouring of Raid chat if that option is enabled

Telic saidChanges in v5.03.20300 from v5.02.20300
----------------------------------------------------
- PartySpotter will now "flash" map units to make them visible when mousing over Raid Class buttons on the Raid Frame.
So you can track where all the Rogues are for example.
This works in the same way that PartySpotter "flashes" individual units when mousing over individual player names in the Raid Frame
- fix to tooltip which wasn't displaying (Inactive) status in Battlegrounds
- fix to a potential bug when mousing over Raid frame names without AlphaMap installed

Telic saidChanges in v5.02.20300 from v5.01.20300
---------------------------------------
- fix to tooltip bug when in a Party, but not a Raid
Note that PartySpotter learns how to colour tooltip names by class while you are in a Raid/Battleground, so tooltip names of ordinary Party members may not be coloured by class at first until you have Raided with a member of that class.

Immoliate saidI did a bit of a double take when I saw "v3.40.20200" following "v4.30.20100". Checking the contents of the archive it appears to be a typo. The contents are v4.30.20200. :)
Lucky I checked before asking "version rewind?". Saved me posting on curse .. oh hang on.. dammit.. I *am* posting on curse =S
Great mod btw :)

Telic saidPartySpotter wasn't designed for displaying all Raid members in the Minimap itself; Just for proper maps like the World Map or Battlefield Minimap. And I don't think I will be adding that as a feature.
For one thing, the Minimap would be very crowded in 40 man external and Alterac Valley Raids.
And I also imagine there could start to be a performance impact in large raids also, as the correct placing of player dots around the edge of the Minimap would require more complex trigonometric calculations...

ild saidThanks to Telic for this useful functionality!
Could someone please advise how I get pspot to show the whole raid on the mini-map? I only ever see my current party.
A small suggestion as well, is to make the Red "X" on the mini-map (from the "/pspot -t <name>" feature) size adjustable - I find it covers up too many others at it's current size.
Cheers.

Mmm, I can't understand that error at the moment, as I have tested a fresh install, and an upgrade from v3.35.20003.
Have you changed the default colour of your own Party? I tested this case also, and couldn't find an error, so...
Logically, it just shouldn't happen - I could almost understand if it was reporting a 'nil' value, but a 'table' value makes no sense at all. Perhaps a much earlier version of PartySpotter could have set that variable to a table - quick testing does reveal v3.35 to be more forgiving where this value is a table, so I'll put a double check in the next release - this may result in your local party colour reverting to the default if you had changed it - so you may have to reset it to your preference again the first time you log in.
If it still happens in v4.20.20003, then please try a couple of things for me ? 1.) Try deleting the /SavedVariables/PartySpotter.lua file before logging in with the new version ? 2.) Try entering a BG with PartySpotter as the ONLY enabled AddOn ? 3.) Despite the error, try entering a BG or joining a Raid and changing the default colour for YOUR Party, as this should resave the variable in its correct format - you may then need to log out and in again to check if this solves the issue.

ChWolfgang saidGreetings,
Thank you for making this mod. I use it often.. anyway, since the lat patch or two of this mod, I have been getting this error on loading WoW:
Error: attempt to perform arithmetic on field 'r' (a table value) AddOn: PartySpotter File: PartySpotter.lua Line: 2332 Count: 1
Also the "Party Spotter" key will remain on the main screen when I close the World Map the first time. I click it to make it go away. This is different than the AlphaMap key. I use Cosmos and Map notes as well as other mods. Hope this help. Keep up the good work!
