  • About Bartender4
  •

Bartender4 is a full ActionBar replacement mod. It provides you with all the features needed to fully customization most aspects of your action and related bars.

3.3 Notice

If your Bars are not showing, yet you have updated, then make sure to update ButtonFacade to the latest Beta version (3.3.300-Beta), if you're using it.

Features

  • Support for all Action Bars and all related bars
    • 10 Action Bars
    • Stance Bar
    • Pet Bar
    • Bag Bar
    • Micro Menu
    • XP/Reputation Bar
  • All Bars are fully customizable (Scale, Alpha, Fade-Out settings, ...)
  • Very flexible and customizable Show/Hide driver based on Macro Conditions
  • Additional Layout and Paging settings for Action Bars
    • Page all bars based on Stance or Modifier
    • Possess Bar support
    • Custom State driver support with Macro Conditions
  • Options to hide specific elements of the buttons (Macro Text, HotKey, more could be added on demand)
  • StickyFrames support
  • ButtonFacade support!
  • Easy Hotkey Binding using KeyBound

Planned Features

  • Implementation of the Alignment Menu
  • Options to control the hiding of the default blizzard artwork (you might still want that to be displayed..)

Features that will not be implemented

  • The BT3 "Roll" Bar
  • A Lag Bar (Patch 3.0 even removed it from the Game)
  • CooldownCount - I recommend OmniCC by Tuller

FAQ

Q: How do i access the Configuration?
A: You can open the configuration with the Slash Commands (/bt or /bar) or through the Bartender4 LDB plugin.

Q: Can Bartender4 import settings from Bartender3?
A: No. Those two mods are too different to be able to import settings.

Q: Where are my keybindings? And how do i bind new keys?
A: BT3 Keybindings will not be ported over either, you have to use the new KeyBound to re-bind your keys. You can access KeyBound by its slash command (/kb) or through the button in the BT4 config. Hover a button, press key → voila!

Q: CyCircled Support? I like my button skins? :(
A: No reason to cry! There is a sparkling new skinning addon/library out there! ButtonFacade is way easier to work with as a action-bar author, and its easier to write skins for it too! Alot of cyCircled Skins have already been ported to ButtonFacade, and more are on their way! After installing ButtonFacade just use its configuration to change the skin of the BT4 buttons (/bf)

Q: How do i disable the snapping of the bars?
A: Currently, you can temporarily override the snapping by holding down the Shift Key while moving your bars, or uncheck the option in the popup when your bars are unlocked.

I was extremely curious as to whether or not it is a possibility to have the standard Blizzard Vehicle UI show instead of the Bartender one... I like the art of the blizzard vehicle ui

Any help would be awesome. (I don't mind having to paste something into some line of code/ finding and deleting something... I would appreciate any info/help!)

P.S. for the smart aleck out there, YES i would still be wanting bartender4 to be up and running.

I'm getting random errors with vehicle bars not working.
Sometimes the keybinds just stop working and I can't do **** with my vehicle unless I click the buttons with my mouse. It looks like it is trying to use my normal abilitys as if i wasn't in a vehicle and it keeps saying "You can't do that now."

If I do a /reloadui my keybinds will work again for a while but then randomly break again...

Nevermind my post, I fix my problem :D. Apparently some files of bartender were staying in my wow folder somewhere, even after deleting the folder itself because when I logged back in without the addon, it was still loading up somehow. I had to go through curse client and delete it from there, since I use the client. reinstalled like normal. Works like a champ.

  • I had the micro menu problem and I removed bartender from my add ons and redownloaded the newest version and now my micro menu is working, but now my totem bar isn't showing up even though it says it is enabled. This is more of a problem than the micro menu showing up, for me anyway.

For those having issues with not seeing your microbar, here is the simple fix.
    1)delete your old Bartender4 folder
    2)download new file from Curse
    3) Unzip/extract new Bartender4 folder
4)Copy/Paste new Bartender4 folder into your (WoW) interface folder.

should work fine and your last positioning of bars etc should be where they last were.

  • any chance u can make it so that when your outa combat it fades, but while in combat it's 100%. or even that when outa combat it hides but if you scroll over it reappears, as is i like the feature, but anytime i wanna change anythin, i have to either one be in combat or turn the feature off, to much hassle. hope u will give it a go, thanks in advance, later.

For those with missing bars just go too Positioning and change the bars too the Center. You bars aren't gone they have just been moved off the screen. This gor also for your pet bar.

Has anyone else run into problems with the tutorial tip popups? The new larger tip icon that Blizz added in patch 3.3 (replacing the old yellow ! tip icon) appears directly over the middle of bar1 in my layout. When I get one of these tips now, clicking it has no effect. This effectively means that several of my bar1 buttons are blocked.

I'm assuming the problem is some interaction with bartender4, but I suppose it's possible the conflict is coming from another add-on. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I can't play without bartender4! Maybe there's a way to just disable to tutorial tip popups?
