  •

For: Priest/Priestess only!

This addon listens to the combatlog and its events to show a moveable progressbar which gives you an impression on how long your target will remain shackled. Tested with WoW Client version 3.0.2

-- FanDjango / AnSyNova -- Main: Abbessinia Priest 70 -- Twinks: Magrophagus Mage 70 -- Grandcru Hunter 70 -- Leva Warrior 70

Use /shackle to configure

Also have a look at SheepWatch for mages!

Two sound files are included. You can replace them by your own - but the names must be the same, and the first one must be 10 seconds in duration. If you want to disable sound, use the config.

It is supposed to be small footprint. Low overhead, not a lot of stuff.

Use this macro and put it on a button to make a focused sheep. Then you can press the button to resheep even if your target is a different one:

  1. showtooltip

/clearfocus [modifier][target=focus,dead][target=focus,noexists] /focus [target=focus,noexists] /stopcasting /stopmacro [modifier:alt] /cast [target=focus] Polymorph|Verwandlung(use your language) /stopmacro [nogroup]

  • this is just what i was looking for. a shackle bar and a addon that reports who breaks shackle (or just when it breaks).
hope to see a few more options tho. like option to change text.
i would prefer it said " 'Name' broke chackle" or "ShackleWatch: 'Name' " rather than just the name.

  • That's done. You can configure that text in 30013 (out soon)

    Well,

I do not see any progress bar or so. Perhaps it's because I use Dominos and Pitbull. Perhaps you can find that out, too? This is the most important feature, and it won't work.

The other thing is, that those messages are very annoying. It just prints the name of the person who removed the shackle. I'd like to have it much like " removed shackle" or so.

If I can help with a german translation, please let me know.

  • Go into /shackle config menu and see if the progress bar appears when you attempt to move it somewhere, and/or change the size and color.

Which messages are annoying? If they are annoying, can't you turn them off in the /shackle config? Or do you want the text changed of some specific message?

I thought there was a German localisation. There isn't? I will go look see...

  • After the Patch 3.0.2 situation stabilises and SheepWatch proves to be working well, I will do a major revamp of this addon to keep it up to the same level as SheepWatch. Probably by November. Since Shackle is much less an issue than Sheep for Mages, I am giving this lower priority. Any complainst, please add them here so I know the feedback.

  • I'll add a comment myself: I was in Karazhan yesterday and repeatedly, the addon did not recognize the opening of the shackle. Because I was in a RAID instead of in a PARTY?

So using the config, I disabled all the messages and just profited from the progress bar to remind me to reshackle.

I will do some further testing why in a RAID the UNshackle seems different.
