i read some of the articles concerning this topic already. i couldn't fix my problem.
everytime i start my computer curse prompts me to update, fails, tells me to manually remove the curse client and to manually install version 5. the tricky thing is, even when i download and install the client, it still prompts me to install/update everytime i start windows. i thought, once i removed the client from the windows programs this would stop.
i also tried this, which i found in a different thread.
i just want curse to be removed from my computer and i want it to stop trying to reinstall/update everytime i reboot my computer.
any advise would be helpful.
thank you.

UPDATE:
after successfully uninstalling the client and manually installing it, following ALL the steps of

for: How to Fix a Corrupt Curse Client Install
i still had the problem of curse prompting me to install/update on every reboot after i had finally uninstalled the software using the windows programs uninstallation.
this article helped solving the problem:

you simply need to remove the curseclientinstall file from the startup folder.
If the instructions here do not assist, could you please submit a ticket to Client Support detailing the issue, including any and all error messages you have received (and the steps you've taken to resolve the issue)? They will be able to provide further assistance. :)
