    1. Curse does not make any addons. Curse hosts addons made by other people. Just clearing that up.
    2. If, and when, SWTOR allows addons, which they do not as of this writing, I am sure authors will write them.
    3. You will have to ask Bioware if they plan on allowing addons. Hosting sites like Curse have zero input in the matter.

Hopefully that answers your questions. Smile

I thought I had heard EA would not be doing addons for SWTOR.  COuld change though like Rift did.

This is a repating thing on this site. EA, Bioware and Curse don't make the Addons. Bioware has announced that they will give support this soon. From www.swtor.com forum.

"UI customization – You like choice. We hear you! SWTOR is all about choice. Being able to choose how you interact with an online game is something we feel is very important. We are going to be giving more control over the UI as an ongoing effort. This is a very big priority for us."

I'd like to see Bartender adapted to SWTOR if/when they allow mods for SWTOR. I used that on warcraft for a few years and feel lost without it.

Not sure why ANY company now a days would release an MMO without the level of customization that games like LOTRO and Rift presented.  We can only wait and hope we get some control over SWTOR's interface.

I guess it would be much more fun for them to catch a bugs with ton of addons :D
Their API have to be safe to alow players to make addons and I really don't think that safe API had any priority during developing.

Id like to see a "magefever" type of addon, seeing as how i play inquisitor lol

It would make life easier to heal with addons so hopefully they will support addons sooner rather than later :)

Having no adds makes a level playing field. For all. I still love them though

I'd love to see altoholic for SWTOR and some type of profs addon (say to let you know exactly what your alts can and can't make), but other than that, I love the UI as is. It's simple, functional and moveable.

That is not a reference to add-ons, but rather just being able to resize and move the UI that is already there.

First  of  all  swtor  doesnt need  any add  ons it will ruin the game   just  like with wow  .Wow  was at  its best in vanilla  no add  ons   and people needed to realy  focus and  play themselfs .

if  bio is  smart they make  there own   kind  of  recount  and dps  meters  ingame  thats  all people  need  its  way more fun  withoud  any other  adds  like dbm all games  get way to easy with add ons .look at wow  it realy ruined  the  game  if you dont have sertain add  ons   or  builds  people   just  dont invite you to raids  cous its  not how you play  its all about the  add  ons  nowadays so people dont  have to think themselfs  anymore   and for people nagging game is to hard  withoud  dbm or  class add ons  just  go play sonic  or  mario then

There were plenty of addons in vanilla.  The only thing currently in wow that could possibly be a detraction in focus would be boss mods.  However, so many of the bosses today are scripted to play right into the hands of a boss mod.  Think of a boss like Atramedes in BWL.  Without a boss mod, you would not have any visible cue that he was about to do his big sonic AOE.  With a boss mod, you had enough warning to continue doing your job and get to a gong in time

And to further blow apart your point about vanilla being better . . in vanilla, there were MANY more mods available that broke the game that aren't used today.  I guess you don't remember decursive that allowed you to spam ONE button and it properly removed whaterver curse/magic/poison/disease you could on ANY raid member without so much as looking at them.  Let's not forget skin hacks, fishing bots, PVP bots, etc.  Post vanilla may have added boss mods but blizz blocked many of the "automated" types.

addons neither plays for you nor boost your playing skills. it's about to help you, letting you customizate anything you want and extend your gameplay. dbm is updating after many guilds get kills, if you want serious playing and competition then you should be spend much more time as serious(i don't mean hanging around org/sw) in hardcore/elite guilds. there wont be any raid helper or anything like it in that level. furthermore there was addons at vanilla times and even before that(in beta) they had combat logs to let you calculate your performance in raids or pvp.
