lawl, this thread is amusing to read:) [rated +^^]

I make others select my character names (or at least make suggestions) because I don't have an ounce of creativity when it comes to that xD

My first char was Opacus. My second was Opsacu. My third was Oscapu.

I'm sure you can see where this is going for my first 8 or so alts ;p

Well I suck when it comes to names too. For example, the name I am currently using is from a fantasy book series (only read one of them, and thought Jarlaxle was a great character). Now I am stuck with it cause everyone knows me by that name - on the intertrucks, of course

Gotta be careful with that though. That's how ebay accounts and the like get hacked, if you use the same passy too.

It's not hard to crack simplistic passwords if you have a list of MD5 hashes (either from being a site owner or from other, less legal means) and if your victims use the same password on other sites them boom - you can steal their identity.

Moral of the story - use different passwords on different sites and make sure they're complex - 10 random letters and numbers usually does the trick.

OK, so I'm on Teranas, or however you spell it. My toon is Nastynardz..my pet is Dyrtysanchez...ya, i know....

At lvl 53 a GM named Vangourd makes me change my toon name (which I've been expecting for 53 levels) and names my pet...get this...Spot. What an anus, he obviously has no imagination whatsoever.

anyway...Vangourd is a play on the name, Vanguard, which is a tradename of Vanguard Industries among other things, a clear violation of the TOS and naming conventions.

Guess what. GM's can name your pet whatever they feel like, without accountability. I spoke to one GM named Tasavo who, when asked if I could speak to his supervisor refused and said, "ll answers within GM department are uniform and strictly adhered to by policy"..guess what, there is no policy on this. Only the procedure that they can chose your pets name, on a whim, and Spot is what Tasavo called the 'default' name and that it is there unwritten policy that "Your pet has been renamed to one of our choosing. Unfortunately we will be unable to offer name changes for pets"

That's what happens when you let the lunatics take over the assylum. And yes, I know that my toon name was on the edge and most people need to google my pets name to know what it the slang is..but really, it's a game..lets play a little.

BTW, Nastynutz was OK with the three GM's i pm'd in game after being forced to change my name.
