Questhelper Problem

After WoW's last patch (early May) I updated my mods and Questhelper has changed (not for the good) the way it works.

I use WoWMatrix to manage my addons (if this helps).

I'm aware of the /qh interface and have been through all the settings.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled QH while WoW is quit.

Currently, QH continuously shows a rotating list of quests on my screen just below the mini map. This is screen real estate I would like to choose to use the way I see fit. Not by QH default. Also, it automatically puts a direction way point arrow on my char which I would also like to be able to select when and if needed, not by default. The arrow is easily dismissed, but the rotating list of quests cannot be gotten rid of.

I really like (liked) QH till this issue came up and can no longer use it as it interferes too much with my game play.

None here, QH is the same for me and i dont have the questlist at the bottom of my minimap, i dont even have it at all. So u may have downloaded an extra addon or something that works with QH and does that.

I deleted all addons. Rebooted. Reinstalled QH and still the quest list appears below the minmap. Very frustrating.

I've been playing with the filter settings and when I disable the zone and done settings the list disappears, but then I can't have the item list by shift clicking a quest.

It has become all or none. It is obviously something in QH that has changed.

FWIW ... I'm on a Mac with OS 10.4.11.

Not sure what to say here. QH is all fouled up. Cannot get it to work as it did prior to latest patch and mod update.

Is there somewhere I can get the earlier version of QH, the one prior to the current one?

You can read all the information and watch a video about the addon. There is a basic how to and FAQ on fixing very common issues.

On this page you can submit tickets aka bugs and they go down the list sorting them out and fixing the issues. You can post comments about the addon on this page and staff working for the addon will reply sometimes. On the page as well you can download different versions of the addon.

Try /qh cartwp for the arrow waypoint. I'm assuming you somewhat recently installed cartographer, which has the power to use waypoints. Questhelper sees you have cartographer adn is putting up waypoints so you dont have to keep opening your map to check

I have the same exact problem and it is getting very frustrating

For all those that dont read the change log comments "You may disable it and restore the built in quest tracker by typing '/qh track'. "
It always best to read any change log info on all mods downloading this keeps you updated on what has been changed, fixed or even removed.

there is an onscreen menu option that turns it off...i cant remember exactly where it is at..i just fiddled around with it for about 10 minutes and finally came across it...happy hunting :)
