Auctioneer problems
Don't worry about trying to find the addon memory that Deadage is talking about, because it's no longer there. Previously, you adjust how much memory that WoW addons could take up, and setting it to 0 would've allowed unlimited memory usage like he said. But that's gone now as of the 2.0 patch (at least, I think it was that patch)
Have you tried downloading the latest version of Auctioneer? Could be as simple as installing the new version. 384 MB of RAM does seem a bit small to be running. I had issues with 512 MB of RAM, even with most of the video options turned down or off.
Low RAM wouldn't cause it to just drop out like that though - your system would just use swap space instead of RAM which is slow as hell but not a cause of crashing.
I've heard many people talking of random CTD problems lately (crash to desktop) so try disabling all addons EXCEPT auctioneer while you run your scan and see how you fare then.
The 2.1.3 patch notes refer to a fix for a crash caused by certain unit frame addons. That could well be the issue you're experiencing.

RabidDeathGnomeI've got a problem wiht the auctioneer, it's a really handy add-on especialy with all the extras. But, whenever I scan at the AH it gets to about half way/three quarters through, then WoW just shuts down. I'm not sure if its a RAM problem, but I'll know in a few days when my gig ram comes. But atm im running on 384. Any ideas what it could be or where i can get a file with all the prices on? Like updated within the last couple of days.
