For interested users, particularly those with wxWidgets or unicode/international character issues, we are making the PC 3.0.0.8 client available for testing before official release.

To assist in the stability of this release, please provide feedback. Important details include:

* Operating system and the full exact path name to your interface\addons directory (including special characters)

* If the new features are functioning correctly or not.

Curse Client 3.0.0.8 Changes

Major stability changes:
* Additional support for extended character sets
* Additional error reporting for installation failures
* Additional error reporting for WoWDB/RomDB/Wardb profile uploads.

Text addon list feature:
* Under Tools->Generate Text Addon List : This feature will generate a text file list of all the addons for all managed games. Users have request this as a means of easily sharing addon lists.

The client also has improved detection of anomalous or corrupted installations. If the client detects such a problem, it will log it and give the user an error before exiting.

Please post here if you are experiencing issues with international character support and wish to participate in the test.

Yeah ever since I downloaded Curse Client it hasn't been able to open at all, no error messages, nothing.  I double click on the icon and nothing happens.  I've been able to download add ons via manual download, but I think it would be nice and easier just to use the Curse Client.  Think I could get some help on that issue?

yeah, same problem. (using Vista)

Hm, version 3.0.0.8 is released to public and I have the same issue as you did with RC version.

1. pc (XP): automatic update to 3.0.0.8
2. pc (Vista): clean install

Version 3.0.0.8 relese doesnt work for me eighter. simply wont start. Using Vistax64

same for me can't start it :S
