Hi hi,

Well there's this: http://mythicmktg.fileburst.com/war/us/home/flash/2007-11_pp-GameSystemChanges.html That's about the spec trees and stuff mainly, though; however that is still very much about customizing ones character.

There are dyes in the game, I have no link to prove that; if you look at screenshots though, you will see wild and crazy colors every where, from people who've dyed their equipment. It worked amazingly well in Dark Age of Camelot and Guild Wars and I am glad to see it in Warhammer Online.

http://mythicmktg.fileburst.com/war/us/home/flash/pp_Animation.html That talks about the character animations. Sure, it's not precisely on what you wanted, but certainly shows the range of...characterization in the game.

Of course they wanted to do this: http://www.cesspit.net/drupal/node/1489 Regretfully their combination of a timeline and finances got ahead of them, and simply couldn't pull something like that off.

And then there is the character creation screen in game, which I feel you are probably more talking about. That's this: http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=warhammer+online+character+creation&hl=en&emb=0# It looks really good to me, it's more like World of Warcraft's or Lord of the Ring Online's (I typed out the first few MMORPGs I mentioned; OCD won't let me start using acronyms now! T_T) character design.

I hope this helped, and judging by how fast I typed this, you know I've been reading up on this too much! Haha.

Take care.

DEFINITELY!

Now that the NDA has been lifted I can tell you as a beta test that the character customization is all across the character. Obviously gear choices as well as dyes and the selections you make during character creation allow you a sense of being unique but it gets much deeper than that. First off the mastery system really allows you to focus on certain sets of skills that improve with spent points. As far as I've seen, all masteries seem to be viable albeit sometimes situational. At any rate, it definitely shines in combat when you use skills and morale abilities from masteries that no one else has. And as far as combat goes, the tactics system really offers a great deal of customization. For any given situation, you can swap out your tactics loadout and with such a wide array of tactics to choose, there's definitely going to be quite a bit of choices. And then that comes to the last way to really tie all the customization together. When you level renown ranks (through RvR) you get points that can be spent to passively increase certain aspects of your character or even buy tactics. Some of the stat packages include bonus' to stats such as strength or willpower and as you buy more, better trees open up so that you can purchase better packages such as 2% to dodge or tactics that give you 2% more damage to enemy faction members. All in all it's a great way for people to build many different types of characters for different purposes. Trust me though OP you won't have to worry about customization.
