Spam as in conversations or spam from looking for groups? Either way, there are filters.

Mind if I ask why you'd rather use a channel, over the LFG panel? From personal experience, I've found people prefer the panel, instead of the LFG/M spam.

Did you search for 'lfg' ? Call to arms does use a global channel. The LFGX does too. Or just type, /join lookingforgroup and hope the moderator was able to turn off system announcements. I agree though, not a lot of people use it anymore because evil moderators are kicking players out of it. To answer DominicusSaxon question, there is absolutely nothing that can guarentee the global chat will work, but there is a chance. :)

I believe "call to arms" still works with TBC but without the lfg channel its not that great =\

I'm trying to find a good LFG add-on for BC. What I need is one that when I start a General Chat with "LFG" then it will send that out on a world-wide thing. I saw one here that kind of works like that but it said it was only for capitol cities. I'm rarely in a capitol city so I would like one that works if I'm walking on some dirt road out in the middl of nowhere. Hope that makes sense and really really hope that someone can help me out on this question. Thanks !
