Alright, now that I've got your attention, I can't get into my game because it can't find the .exe. So I did some searching, found the solution, but I can't access it because I'm only a trial account.

Can somebody download this LocalConfig.xml file and upload it somewhere where I can access it easier? Thanks in advance.

I click "download" and then it takes me to that specific site saying it's downloading.. nothing happens. It says to click on the link that says "mirror images" and once clicked on - nothing happens. I played for about 6 weeks, been away for a bit, just came back to officially cancel my AoC account and warn those who have not wasted their money yet on this game.

1. Ganked by much higher level jerks. Crybaby? I like PvP, love to destroy a lvl22 when I'm only 20. Having a 30 kill a 20 and then again a few minutes later, and again... this demonstrates poor game design.
2. No on screen DPS.
3. Lame auction house, see wow auctioneer for details. There is aboslutely nothing interesting or innovative about the AoC economy. Its just dumb.
4. Tiny bag space.
5. Cannot unequip tiny over priced bags.
6. Cannot resize screen elements like the giant quickbar and tiny minimap.
7. Not enough post offices.
8. Restricted addon development.
9. Lack of list mode for things like backpack, do you really think I want to mouse over every single item to see its details?
10. The special keypress system to attack is not an innovation, it is a stupidity which you didn't even develop properly. If the attack requires UL UL UR then show that on screen where it currently shows UL UR. Anyone who thinks this key thing is great is lying or just too stupid to be allowed to speak. Those who master the key thing are most exploiters.
11. I've said enough.

Did you not learn anything at all from Anarchy?
You completely ignore past experience.
AoC = retardation.

Receipt Upon Death - OMM - Seeking LvL 50+ Players

Guild Name: Receipt Upon Death
Server: US- PvE OMM
Website:http://www.ReceiptUponDeath.com
Guild Formed: About 9 years ago.
Recruitment: Open Recruitment for AoC
Application: All applications should be filled out on the RuD forums.
Raid Schedule: Mon/Tues/Wed after 8:00pm (EST) "Occasional Weekend Raids"
Guild City: T2 Keep Complete, Working On T2 City
Member Count: 40+
Guild Type: We are a mixture of casual/semi-hardcore/hardcore players that do end game raiding with some PvP thrown into the mix.
Voice Communication: Ventrillo
DKP: Zero Sum Dkp System "More Details On Our Forums"

Quick Summary

We are not a start up guild. We will also not be a zerg guild "100-200 members recruiting as fast as possible no matter the quality". Our main goal is to bring back the tight nit family guilds used to be. We have been around for a pretty long time and you as a member will see benefits from this immediately. What you will get with the experience of RuD members and officers is a fast paced, well organized, drama free environment. We aim to have a blast while still being able to progress in the game. Our end goal is to run end game raids and have our RuD events (consists of pvp and other fun stuff). Our age restriction is 20+. Like most other high end guilds Vent is required but a mic is optional.

RuD Charter

Background:
Rud was created by a group of friends a long time ago under various other names. Through the years we have progressed to high end game play. RuD has been competing in professional tourneys for the last 4 years. The core of RuD are hardcore players with some weekend warriors thrown into the mix.

RuD members are expected to follow these principals:
Honor - All members represent Receipt Upon death in and outside of the game. We do not tolerate any in or out of game behavior that doesn't represent RuD in the proper manner. "Ie flaming on guild sites or the main forum/Repeated slurs against other players." That doesn't mean we are clean when we talk, but you know when you cross the line.

Friendship - This I believe in strongly. Primarly you are online to have fun and actually progress in the game. I have found over the years players who are lifers in the guild are also players who can get along and who enjoy to play the game as much as everyone else.

Respect - Our membership is made up of many different personalities and experiences. All members must work to keep the bs to a minimum. All in all officers/gm have the end word which isn't negotiable.

Guild Structure

There are still class officer positions available.

Gm: This is pretty self explanatory. The gm runs all high level operations of the guild. The gm is also responsible for promotions and removal of guild members.

High Officers: These two officers are the highest level officers in RuD. These officers are responsible for DKP, Guild Bank, and scheduling raids. After RuD raids a few times these officers will also take control in leading raids. In absence of the GM these officers will control the guild and operations there of until the gm is online. Generally these are players that are online a large amount of time and have extensive knowledge of running raids or have shown the abilities of doing such.

Class Officers: There is one class officer per class."IE Tank, Healers, Offensive Casters, Dps" This officer is expected to have a decent amount of knowledge about their class. The CO is is expected to lead their class during raids. CO's also give assistance to their class members in making proper decisions on specs, gear, and other areas their members have questions about. During raids the raid leader will give orders to the class leader in which the class leader will setup their class properly for each encounter. The class leader is also responsible to know who has what gear and what spec before each raid. This allows the class leader to make the appropriate decision of who should be in the raid and who shouldn't. The CO is also a moderator of their own forum. This is an excellent way to give information about strats/items/events for their class. Depending on the looting system the CO generally speaks up for the class on cross class gear. This creates an organized way of distributing cross class items. Cross class gear is usually posted up and the CO's select what and what not should be looted to his class based on their class members votes. I find that most CO's who are successful are not only demanding of their class but also make it enjoyable for their class to play. These are usually players who are online a large amount of time or make a large amount of raids. These players also have a in depth knowledge of their class and strats.

Assistant Class Officers: There is one assistant class officer per class. Its the same description as above but with slightly less power. The assistant class officer acts as a consultant to the Class Officer. In the absence of the Class officer he/she will take on the full duties of the CO. The ACO is generally selected by the class officer. However it still has to be approved by the gm in order to put the correct person in this position.

OOR Officers: Depending on the circumstances there are usually a few of these out of raid officers. These officers take care of leading groups of members in harvesting mats to help out the guild. Or by performing other tasks. These players generally are online a decent amount before raids or after raids. It also helps to be very well organized as this positions can sometimes be hard without proper organization.

Members: Well your members. You are expected to make raids/pvp and pitch in when you can.

Initiates: New members to the guild. Generally less then 3 weeks old. In order to make it out of this position you must show that you belong in the guild. This can be done by showing that you have exceptional skills in the game or by stepping up and assisting the guild in various other tasks that are necessary.

[Movie] A little PVP at Keshata

Hello,

I have been looking at many other forums and still have not found a concrete answer to the question of an affordable laptop that will run well with AoC. I have however, found two candidates that I am hoping can run this game, any input is really appreciated, and any suggestions to other notebooks around the price range that would run AoC well, would be appreciated.

Are you 25 or older and looking for a mature, stable guild? The Older Gamers might be just what you're looking for. We are a community of gamers aged 25 and up, with no upper limit!

The Older Gamers (TOG) was founded in 2002 and has divisions in most popular online games on the market, including the fps, mmo, sim and console genres. When you join TOG, you don't just join a guild, but a whole community with thousands of active members where can participate in as many, or as few games as you like. At last count our overall membership is over 20 thousand encompassing roughly 3 dozen games that we are currently active in.

In TOG, we understand that most adults have things in real life, like family, work and other obligations, that have to come before gaming. As such, we'll hold the raid while you change a nappy, understand if you have to leave a group because work called or be online to sympathize if you'd like to vent about your mother-in-law.

We have the following guilds in Age of Conan:

EU English Servers
PVP: Wildsoul
PVE: Dagon
USA/Oceanic Servers
PVE: Gwahlur (recommended Oceanic)
PVP: Bloodspire (recommended Oceanic)

The leadership hierarchy for each of the 4 servers we are currently active on within AoC can be found here:
http://togaoc.pbwiki.com/TOG+AOC+Division+Leadership

If you are interested, visit http://www.theoldergamers.com and click the Join TOG link on the front page. You should find all the information you need to make an application there, but if you have any questions, you can contact the guild leader on the server you are interested in for more information.

Welcome to The Older Gamers!
__________________
Bloodwrych
TOG (The Older Gamers)
Age of Conan Divisional Recruitment Officer

What a joke!!

Well the much anticipated game is here!!!! And WoW what a joke it is game wont patch.... Players that are lucky enough to get in game are stuck with 7-10k latency. While others that can patch cannot log in due to constant crashing!!! If I could do this decision again to waste $90 on the CE i would have left it at best buy!! Not to mention funcom has locked there forums to none-game owners to keep the public from seeing what is happening!! Do you think this is right? Because i sure dont!!

Skip Intro Screens?

Hi guys,
I love the game and sure can't wait to see it when DX10 is functioning,
I was wondering if there was a way to skip all the intro screens?
After all the intro screens I tend to loose interest in even playing.
I guess ADHD does that to me.

Automated replies after 5 days. No joke, I talked with a guy who got a response from a GM in 4 days, was told to email them to a different email, and got a response back in 5 more days - and that was the autoreply.

Check out some interesting screenshots here

I think the funniest one, was where GM's tell players they cannot PvP in PvP servers.

New Comp just for AoC!

So I'm getting this new laptop, and since I'm not computer savvy whatsoever I figured I'd ask how the specs were.

Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T9300 (2.5GHz/800Mhz FSB, 6MB Cache)
4GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz (2 Dimms)
Speed: 160GB 7200rpm SATA Hard Drive Free Fall Sensor
256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT

I just have 2 concerns:
Is 2.5GHz for a laptop fast enough? I've seen desktops that are 3+ GHz and are cheaper than my laptop ><

And 256MB Video Card was the best one they offered (luckily it's a dedicated video card so I should be able to upgrade in the future). Is 256MB OK?? I don't know anything about video cards either!

Thanks!

characters screen instead of exit game?

Is there an option to exit to characters screens instead of exiting game?
Sometimes I want to access the characters screen and I have to exit game and start again to see it.

Trial Account -.-

You'll likely be seeing a lot of these in the coming days, but:

I'm dying to play and I'm going to have the money to buy it in a few days, but my computer is WAY behind the times and the likely hood of me being able to run it is 50/50. My system has ran a number of games in the past that were said to be too high and ran them well, so I'm definitely going to give it a shot. But I'm not dropping 40 bucks to give it a shot.

So if anyone doesn't have friends who play video games, like myself, and you aren't going to use your trial key (if they even exist with this game, though it is a staple of MMO gaming it seems), I'd really appreciate it. If I can run this game at even 10-15 FPS, I'm bloody buying.

Thanks in advance for any help.
