Getting Started:
Once you have chosen your race (pick Asmodian ) and created your character, it's time to have some fun. Upon entering to world of Atreia, your starting location should be Asak for Asmodian, and Akarios for Elyos. Now, this goes without saying but it's a good idea to get a good handle of the game and its interface, for veteran player who are familiar with mmorpgs, playing Aion should be a breeze for you, as it is very similar to other mmorpgs. For those who are just starting out it's a good idea to learn how to navigate your way around the world and getting to know how to use your skills and toolbars .

Ok, now that all the basic stuff is out of the way it's time to get some experience and level up. QUESTS, QUESTS, and MORE QUESTS is the secret key to level from 1 - 10 for any class and both race. Honestly that's pretty much all you want to do, but for the sake of the guide, I'll go in to more detail. (Keep in mind that I'll use Elyos Scout as my base examples)

Level 1- 3
The first 3 levels are really simple. You want do all the quest in your starting area for Elyos it would be:

Sleeping on the Job - talk to Mires.
Kerubar Hunt (after Sleeping on the Job)- Hunt 3 Stripped Kerubs.
Grain Thieves - Obtain 4 Kerub grain Sacks in the farms near by.
Report to Polina - find Priest Polinia in Akarious Village for your reward.
The Snuffler Headache - hunt Snufflers for 4 tails.
Helping Kales - talk to Uno in Akarious Village.
Your now level 3!

Level 3-5
Most quests from here on are going to be located in Akarios Village and beyond, so it's a good idea to bind yourself there (to bind yourself just go to the Obelisk in the village follow the instruction, however you do need some Kineh(money) to make this work. If you don't have enough come back when you do.) Once you have bind to the village do the following:

The Kerub Threat (Mission) - hunt 5 Small Horn Kerubs and report to Muranes, then obtain 5 Kerub's Fang.
Collecting Aria - Collect 10 Anglica.
Uno's Ingredients - Hunt Pink Beak Airon for 6 Airon meat.
Abandoned Goods - head to the North-West corner of Cliona lake and obtain 5 Wine bottles from wine barrels.
A New Skill - While you doing "A New Skill", it is a good time to purchase your level 3 and your level 5 skill books from your trainer, you should have acquire enough kineh to do so.
Once the all of the above are done, head towards Daminu Forest and grab the follow quests on the way:

A Book for Namus - deliver the book to Namus in Daminu
To Fish in Peace (located in Cliona Lake) - kill 5 Brown Bristle Brax and 5 Rake Claw Slinks.
Mushroom Thieves (located in Daminu Forest) - kill 8 Short Bristle Megipus.
Few Tips and Things to Remember :
- QUESTS QUESTS QUESTS! Do all the Quests
- Do not need to purchase any new equipment (armors or weapons).
- Remember to purchase all your skill up to level 9 when you have enough Kineh.
- Remember to soul bind at the Obelisk
- Choose the right shoes from the first mission reward, Warrior choose chain, scout choose leather, mage/priest choose cloth!!
- DON'T forget to heal, don't be cheap buy bandages if your melee use mana potions (if needed) for priest or mage, it will speed up your leveling speed and reduce downtime. Don't worry about the money; you will have more than enough and it will come later!
Level 5 - 7
Light up the Night (located in Cliona Lake, can only be obtain after level 5) - Obtain 6 Sparky Luciferins from Two-Day Sparkys
Insomnia Medicine - obtain 5 Sylphen Wings from the Everglade Sylphen.
The Elim's Mysterious Message - Head back to Cliona Lake and talk to Feria, then talk to Asteros back at the village
Now head back to the village, you should now be level 6, while you're in the village grab your level 7 skill books. and get the follow quest in the village
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Pernos′s Robe - 5 Grove Abex skins
Once you have arrived at Melponeh's Campsite bind there and grab the following quest:
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Level 7 - 9
Once you have reached level 7 at the campsite there two more new quests you can do the following:

Mushroom Research (Agaric Spore Road) - obtain 5 Mushroom Hearts
Tula′s Music Box - Tual's Music Box is a collector quest, and you must have at least 15 extracting skill to be able to complete this quest, however the reward for this quest is more than worth it.
Where′s Tutty? - find Tutty in Kabarah Strip Mine, his a BBQ pig in the North-West corner of the mine.
Avenging Tutty (after completing "Where's Tutty") - Acquire 5 Kobold spoons.
Complete all quest including "Ancient Cube" and "Neutralization Odium". You are NOW LEVEL 8 and almost level 9!
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
To obtain level 9, go back to the village and do

Barring the Gate - Destroy the 3 Power Generators and then the Abyss Gate itself (the first green generator is located on left, the blue generator is on the right side of the Abyss Gate Room, the purple one is right in front of the gate guarded by a level 10 boss mob he hits hard but soloable.
Delivering Pernos′s Robe - IMPORTANT: "Delivering Pernos′s Robe" can be complete in 3 different ways, however the rewards are different for each here is the list…
• Brax Hoof - Brax Hoof (can only be sold for money)
• Abex Horn - 2 Minor Secret Remedy of Life
• Scar's Fang - Scar's Belt
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Brax Hoof and Abex Horn are really easy to obtain, Scar's Fang (best choice) can be obtained by killing Scar the Alpha Zaif, he is a level 8 named mob that spawns in the cave at the south-east end of the Deforested Area. Scar the Alpha Zaif is solo able, but he hits pretty hard, if you can find a friend to group with for the quest it would be the best.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Suspicious Ore (located at Timolia Mine) - Find 6 nuggets of Suspicious Ore from Suspicious Boxes.
Scouting the Timolia Mine - retrieve 5 Engine Parts.
Level 9 - 10
To obtain level 10 it is actually really easy!! You are automatically given your "Ascension" Mission (YES WINGS!) upon reaching level 9, follow the mission which would take you on a wild goose chase, watch some really cool cut scene and fight a boss, which you CAN'T LOSE TO UNLESS YOU REALLY SUCK!!! Once you have finished the Ascension mission it is time to choose your class and speak to Pernos, and he teleports you to Sanctum or Pandaemonium for Asmodian when you're ready. Once you arrive at Sanctum just do the "Daeva′s Ceremony" and you should be LEVEL 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WINGS, NEW WEAPON, AND NEW SKILLS.

What is Aion Stigma System?
Stigma is a system that allows for uniqueness by allowing you to further customize your character in the world of Aion. For example as mentioned above, although Elyos Cleric and Asmodian Cleric would have almost the same skill sets, they might still have a completely different set of stigma skills which makes them unique. However, the irony of this is that most players at higher levels tend to end up using the same set of stigma skills because they work best

Aion Stigma Q & A
How to Use the Stigma System?

First you must have acquired or activated the stigma system, which can only be done once you have reached level 20 and completed the Stigma tutorial quest.

Once you have completed the stigma quest you would need Stigma Stones and Stigma Shards. Your first Stigma Stone and 300 Stigma Shards are given to you as rewards for the level 20 quest.

What are Stigma Stones?

Stigma Stones are special stones which allow you to use a class specific skill once the stone is equipped.

Where do I can I get Stigma Stones?

Your first level 20 Stigma Stone is given to you as a reward for completing the quest, the rest of them can be purchased either from other players or drops from mobs! Note: some stigma stone might only be dropped from boss mobs, which makes it harder to obtain them.

How can I equip your Stigma Stones?

Stigma stones can only be equipped with the help of a Stigma Master, who is located in Lyceum in Sanctum, and the National Assembly in Pandaemonium.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
You would also need a certain amount of Stigma Shards to equip the Stigma Stone. The amount of Stigma Shards are different depending on the skill being equipped.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Where can I get Stigma Shards?
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Again the first 300 are given to you as a reward; afterwards you can only acquire Stigma Shards from any mobs in Abyss, and some quests in Abyss that gives shards as rewards.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Do I get my Stigma Shards back if I Unequipped the Stigma Stone?
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
The answer is NO! so choosing you skill wisely.
How many Stigma Can I Equipped?
There are total of 5 Stigma slots, however you start with two slots at level 20 and gain additional slots as you level. However after Patch 1.5 there are 3 additional slots for Advanced Stigma Stones.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Level 20: 2 Stigma Slots
Level 30: 3 Stigma Slots
Level 40: 4 Stigma Slots
Level 50: 5 Stigma Slots
What are Advanced Stigma Stones?
After Aion patch 1.5 (also it's the NA/EU Aion official launch version) You can equip up to 3 additional Advanced Stigma Stones. The 3 slots can be unlocked by doing the right quests and Advanced Stigma Stones can only be equipped if the prerequisite Stigmas are equipped. As for details of the quests, I don't know since it's not 1.5 yet!
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
How do I use my Stigma skills once the Stigma Stone is Equipped?
This was something that really confused me when I first used Stigma skills. Once you have equipped the Stigma Stones with the help of the Stigma Master, just push K or whatever hotkey you have to bring up your skill list. Your new Stigma skill should be there. After that just drag the skill to your hotbar like you would for all your normal skills. If it's a passive skill then don't worry about it, however most Stigma skill are active.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Choosing your Stigma Skills
Honestly there is no general guide on which stigma to use, that's the whole idea of the system, since it is to create a unique PVP environment. Choosing Stigma skills may be easy for some classes, and hard for other. Some classes may have less different types of skills to choose from, while other may have a larger variety. However there are a few really popular Stigma Stones, for examples Assassin's Ambush IV, Ranger's Sleep Arrow I, Templar's Armor of Balance, Sorcerer's Bond of Strength, etc.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Due to the demand for these popular Stigma stones they can be very costly to buy. I have seen them as high as 5,555,555 Kehin. Note: the price may vary depending on the server popularity, and also keep in mind that Aion for NA/EU are still in beta so everything can change!

Aion Spiritmaster Guide

So I've been fooling around on C-Aion (Chinese Aion) for a few weeks now, and originally wanted to play as my favorite Assassin, but it was too laggy to play on C-Aion due to latency and ended up playing Spiritmaster. After a quick search for level 42 - 45 Spiritmaster on the C-Aion server and found 0, I decided to write an Aion Spiritmaster Guide for the underdog class.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
What is the Spiritmaster?
For those who haven't played Aion yet, and is wondering what is the Spiritmaster class in Aion here are some general information's. Spiritmaster is an archetype of the mage class, their primary ability is to summon and command elemental pets, they have strong Will, and Knowledge. Spiritmaster uses magical spellbooks and orbs as their weapon of choose, and basic cloth and robes are their armors. They are not the best choose for solo pvp, but they are the best class for solo PVE.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Role as Spiritmaster
Being the underdog of all Aion classes, the Spiritmaster are usually misunderstood and not given enough credit for their power. Many players has the wrong impression about the Spiritmaster. Unlike the Sorcorcer which is design for doing massive amount of damage, Spiritmaster is design for crowd control, debuffs, and shut downs. Bottom line is your there to be annoying, keeping your enemy fear, slowed, and debuffed, making their skills useless.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Spirit Master PVE
Spiritmaster is the best class for solo PVE in Aion, having a pet to tank and deal extra damage makes allows them to handle and kill higher level mobs allot faster than any other class. Although they are widely known to be able to solo elite mobs, and high level boss mobs. Although Spiritmaster is design to be the best class for solo PVE, it has also been said by level 50 Spiritmasters players on Korean servers that after level 40 you would have a much harder time soloing than level 40 and below. Also an added bonus to being able to kill higher level mobs and boss, makes the Spiritmaster the ideal class to farm for unique gears from boss and make money.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Spiritmaster is also great for group PVE, their pets debuff, they can slow, snare, debuff, and most important of all they are the only class with fear and remove enchantment/buff skills, all and all makes Spiritmaster an valuable class in a well organized group or raid. If your group or raid ever get into a tough situation and is over whelm by mobs, the Spiritmaster can easily use massive area fear to crowd control.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Spirit Master PVP
Sadly being a Spiritmaster most likely you're not going to be on the top of the list for PVP rank. The Spiritmaster isn't there to solo PVP, you don't have the best DPS (damage per second) as a caster cast, and you were robes and cloth just like the Sorcerer making you valuable to physical attacks especially Assassin and their ambush skills. Now that doesn't mean Spiritmaster cannot PVP at all they are just not ideal for solo PVP, an well managed and skilled Spiritmaster can do very well in PVP. I have seen Spiritmaster easily take town almost every class equal or high level to them in PVP with fear, and their shut down skills.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Although the Spiritmaster is not the ideal class for solo PVP, you'll be showered with love for group PVP. Ever PVP group needs a Spiritmaster to strip/remove buffs, it cost them money to buy high grade enchament scrolls while it only cost you mana to strip/remove them . Best of all as a Spiritmaster you can remove templars' famous armor buffs and watch them cry as they can no longer tank 10 people at once.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Although none of the Spiritmaster pets can fly or follow you in the air (maybe in the future), the skill Wing Root definitely makes up for the lost of pet. Wing Root allows you to cut down your enemies fly time, causing them to panic as they fear of dropping to death.

PVP Tips From Level 50 Spiritmaster Players:
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Use Erosion and Seldom Orbs as your main damage skills, as they save your mana pool usage.
Use pets as a harassment tool, keep your enemies annoyed.
Fears, Magic block, Magic Combustion, pet skills, Wing Root and your AOE DP is you friend, you will use them a lot during pvp.
Don't worried about your DPS, worried about your control skills.
Beware of other Spiritmasters.
Choosing a Pet
Most people wants to know which is the best pet to have, the answer is there isn't "the best pet" they are good for different situation, here is a breakdown of all the pets and their abilities.

Fire Spirit:
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Your very first pet is the Fire Spirit, out of all spirits the fire spirit is probably the most balanced, they have the second most of HP, good DPS, and average defense. The fire spirit is no not the best choose for PVP, however they are used during pvp because of the Command: Substitution skill, which allows the Spiritmaster to redirect all damages towards the fire spirit. The fire spirit also works well in groups for PvE, as they can lower physical defenses, as well as fire resistance of your enemies, and because their HP is second to the Earth Spirit allows them to survive a lot long from any attacks and AOE. The Fire spirit are also great for solo PvE because they have the best taunt skill, so when your dyeing they can get the mob off you. As a quick note the fire spirits commands(skills) are burst damage, and they have the best taunt skill

Wind Spirit:

The Wind Spirit is my personal favourite, not only that they look cool but they are also the best and primarily used for PvP. The Wind Spirit is weak and has the lowest amount of HP, however they have the fastest running speed allowing them to catch up to your enemies easily. The wind spirit also has the highest melee DPS, and they can stun if you use Command: Disturbance. Not many people use the wind spirit for solo PvE, unless they are kiting the mob and use the wind spirit as extra DPS. Unlike the Earth and Fire Spirit, the Wind Spirit training book can acquired from drop from Wind Spirit related mobs, or purchase from other players that are selling them, and depending on the server they can be costly. Just like the Earth spirit, Wind spirits also has a mix of burst and DoT skills.

Like many MMORPGs, Aion has a crafting system, but regardless of what crafting profession you are going to pursue, you would need materials. There are 4 different ways to obtain materials for your crafting skill. You can buy them from other players, drops from monsters, purchase from NPCs, but mostly from gathering/extracting.

Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
The Aion gathering skill or also know as Aion extracting skill is basic to every class and both factions, everyone starts with it. I know a lot of other MMORPGS like WoW has different gather skills such as Mining, Fishing, etc… Aion is a little different and it's an aspect of the game that I don't really like. The Aion gathering/extracting skill is not profession specific, with one skill you can gather apples, herbs, and metals. The way that the system is setup can be good or bad, it's good because makes everything simple , one skill does all. It's bad because you can't focus on gathering the materials you want and not only do you get a whole bunch of other junk that you probably don't need for the crafting profession of your choice, and with everyone being able to gather the same stuff you can't really sell them very well.
However there is something cool about Aion, it is that there is a special gathering/extracting skill for Aether, which is a special type of material that can only be obtained after you have reached level 10, but this is an Aion gathering guide/Aion extracting guide so we won't go in to detail about Aether gathering/extracting.
Click Here for the Complete Aion Strategy GuideGather is pretty simple and straight forward in Aion, so this Aion gathering guide is going to just cover a few tips, and the basic knowledge, as well as getting you to 100 gathering skill.
Why do I need to raise my gathering skill?Well you don't have to, but not only that you need the materials for your crafting skills, there are also lots and lots of collector (gathering ) quests which gives great rewards throughout the game.
Basic Knowledge you Should know

All material are static spawn, that means they will always spawn in the same spot.

Material difficulties are increased by 5, and you can only gather materials equal or lesser than your skill level.

Most materials spawns allows up to 3 chances to extract material from it, some special materials might only allow one chance.

Only two things can happen upon extracting materials, fail, or succeed. As your gathering skill increases, it is easier and faster to extract lower level materials.

Where and what to gather? In the beginning it's really straight forward as you can only gather Angelica they are all over the place from where you start both faction the same, I like to gather Angelica up till 15 skill points, you can do it up to 10 and Fruit Tree till 20. Once you have reached 15 or 20 skill points, you should gather Iron ore/ore because it is needed for a quest. As for higher level materials they usually spawn within the area of your level range, so you probably won't reach 100 gathering skill until your character is at least level 18.
Gatherable table from 1 - 100 skill points.

Elyos Asmodian Angelica - 1

Gathering Tips,

Tip #1 - Gather while your leveling, between skill cool down, and healing time, that way you won't feel bored. Tip #2 - I personally like to gather 1 type of material for 10-15 skill point gain, reason being as your skill increases it gets easier and faster to gather that type of material, and you still gain skill at the same rate between 1-10 skill points of that material. Tip #3 - You must purchase level 2 gather after 99 skill points, level 3 after 199 skill points, etc… To acquire level 2, 3 and beyond, go to Sanctum or Pandaemonium for Asmodian and learn it from Vitality Master which are located in the crafting area.

Tip #4 - How to stop instant fail. One of 3 thing will happen when your extracting materials, succeed, fail, and instant fail. The first two you will gain skill points from, but the third one you gain nothing. To stop instant fail while gathering either take 1 step at any dirction or take a 1 - 2 second break in between attempts.

Hope you all enjoyed this Aion gathering guide.

The Aion server queue survival guide

So you pre-ordered Aion and you're super excited to jump into the game during the headstart release that's going on right now. You've set aside a whole block of time for your game play, you have your snacks at your side and your DVR ready to play some great entertainment while you grind your night away. You type in your username and password, accept the EULA, select the server that you made your character on during the pre-selection annnndd.....
...you get slapped in the face with a 2 hour wait time.
Don't worry, we've been there. Trust us on that. But here at Massively, we're not going to let you down in your moment of need. We've compiled a great list of fun things to do while you wait for that server queue to drop. Follow along after the break, and we'll be happy to show you the golden road to boredom elimination.
Play another game on a console or a simpler game on your PC
If your looking to get some gaming in while you wait, you can always turn to your friend, the console. They haven't let you down yet. You can usually jump into a game, play it for a while and get something done, and then jump out just in the nick of time to go play Aion. It's like gaming recursion. You can put a game on your game so you can game while you game. Booyah, boy-ee.

Attempt to be productive

Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Homework is a good idea. So is completing that report that your boss wanted on his desk by 9 A.M. tomorrow. We heard that if you get things done while you wait for Aion, the server queue fairies move you down in line based on your good deeds. True story.
IM your friends and tell them how bored you are
"For added Aion effect, make wooshing noises when you get on your flying mount, then dismount every minute and tell people you're waiting for your wings to recharge."
If you're in pain, then your friends should be in just as much pain as you are. We recommend firing up an instant messenger program that runs multiple messengers at the same time, then you can annoy as many networks as possible.
Bonus points if you grab one of those fancy messengers that can do Facebook and Twitter as well. Then you can put up annoying status messages that tell everyone exactly what spot you are in line and how much time is left before they let you into the server.
Play World of Warcraft

Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
For added Aion effect, make wooshing noises when you get on your flying mount, then dismount every minute and tell people you're waiting for your wings to recharge. When going up to Northrend, tell your guild that you're visiting, "The Abyss." Call the enemy faction the Elyos or Asmodians. Say aloud on the trade chat that Arthas is one hell of a Balaur. Do all of this and you'll make many friends, we promise.
Order Domino's Pizza once every 30 minutes
The only flaw to this plan is you now have to come up with something to do while waiting for your food to arrive. Honestly, you're on your own for that. This is the guide on how to waste time while waiting for Aion, not the guide on how to waste time while waiting for a pizza. On the plus side, you can do some great stuff while actually ordering the pizza if you order by phone.
Bonus points if you get your pizza delivered by a man named Khan.
Buy angel wings at your local costume store
It's almost October, and that means that short-term costume shops are popping up all over the place. If you're willing to spend a few bucks, drive out to that same halloween shop and pick up some angel wings. Proceed to put them on, go home, and then run around outside your house pretending to fly. If you're Elyos, try to help everyone in sight even if they don't need your help. If you're Asmodian, hiss loudly and awkwardly at everyone that passes by you.
Read blog archives

Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
If there's any blog we recommend, it's this one. We hear their writing staff is pretty awesome, especially that editor named Sera Brennan. Their base also belongs to them -- a feat unheard of in these times. Truly this blog's staff is made of gods amongst men. We bow to their glory.
Sleep
Zzzzzzzz..... what? Did you say something? Am I drooling again? Darn.
Make yourself a newspaper sailor hat
This may not take the entire two hours, but by the time you're done you're going to be the coolest person on your block -- no joke. Would we lie to you? We think not.
There are a few places on the Internet where you can find instructions on how to make these hats. As to where you can find newspaper, well, that's your problem. When in doubt, pilfer from your printer. That's pretty close by (usually) and then you don't even have to get out of your seat in order to waste time. So not only are you wasting time, you're also accomplishing being lazy and looking stylish. This option is seriously the trifecta of win.
"So not only are you wasting time, you're also accomplishing being lazy and looking stylish."
Take your invisible pet out for a walk

Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Walk down your sidewalk holding an invisible leash. When someone walks past you, pretend to be jerked around violently by your invisible pet and scream, "Down boy, down! Stop trying to bite the nice (man/woman)!" Proceed to apologize profusely for your pet's behavior before continuing to walk down the street. Repeat process until they let you into the server.
Attempt to solve the problem of time travel
This option will, most likely, take longer than two hours to complete. However, you will probably have to log into Aion more than once. Server queues will, most likely, also be increasing once the game launches officially. Therefore, choosing this option will keep you occupied for this current server queue wait time, and any future server queue wait times.
Attempt to win in EVE Online
This option is very similar to the option above, except harder. Much harder.
Watch .hack//SIGN, the anime series
We recommend this because when you're done, you'll realize that server queues are the least of your problems. You could be physically stuck inside of an MMORPG. Think about it. You could never, never, never, never, never leave trade chat. Ever. By the end of that, you'd probably be happy to be in a server queue. Then you would have silence.
Also, Subaru has wings. 'Nuff said for you Aion fans.
Make sock puppet daevas
Get a black sock, put wings and eyes on it, it's your Asmodian. Get a white sock, put wings and eyes on it, and that's your Elyos sock.
Put the Elyos sock on your right hand. Put the Asmodian sock on your left hand. Engage in hardcore PvP until one sock stops moving. Then, use the winning sock to call the hospital and tell them that one of your hands is broken.
And, lastly: Discuss how bored and angry you are with others on the Aion forums
These people understand your pain and they're there for you in your greatest moment of need. Plus you can naysay the game into oblivion and explain to everyone how Aion is going to fail based on their horrible release.
Remember, the game is going to explode in a great ball of fire due to this insulting release, but you'll gladly wait in line to play it anyway.
Now if you can all excuse me, my server queue is up and I can finally see the character select screen.

In Aion, there are three basic ways to enchant, or enhance, your gear. The first is using Enchantment stones, the second is using Manastones, and the third is using Godstones. In this guide, I will cover all three with much detail. Aion's system of enhancing your gear is quite different and more complicated than most other systems.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com

Enchantments
The most frustrating parts of learning how to enhance is learning that THEY CAN FAIL! Not only can they fail, but failing can have negative side-effects for your gear! This is why you must read the guide below so that you do not lose your time, your character's money, or your cool!
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Before you can use Enchantment stones, you must create them. In order to create them, visit a nearby General Goods Merchant and purchase Extraction Tools. One set of tools is used per extraction. In order to extract, you must Right-Click on the Extraction Tools and then Left-Click on the item you wish to extract from.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
There are some important guidelines! First, you can only extract from items that can be enhanced. These are your chest slot, legs slot, shoulders slot, hands slot, feet slot, primary slot, and secondary slot. Second, when you extract from an item, that item is destroyed. Do not extract from items you wish to keep or use, obviously.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Once you have extracted an item, you will receive Enchantment stones. They come in the form: Level # Enchantment. The level corresponds to an item's level, not your level.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Now that you know how to extract and create Enchantment stones, I will tell you how you apply them to an item. The first important part is figuring out the level of the item you wish to enhance. Quite simply, the item's level is the required level to use that item (but there is more!). This can typically be found just by looking at the item's statistics, as it will say what level is required. For some items, such as quest rewards, there is no given level on the item. In order to figure out the level of these items, you must know what level the quest was that resulted in that item. For instance, if a quest said "Level 10" in front of it and completing it resulted in an item, that item's level would be 10.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Once you know your item's level, the next step is figuring out what level Enchantment stone to use. In order to do this, you must know whether the item is of White rarity, Green rarity, Blue rarity, or Orange rarity. You can simply do this by looking at the item and seeing what color the item's name is written in. Once you know the item's level and its color use the following to figure out what Enchantment stone to use:
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
White Item = Item's Level +1-10 Levels
Green Item = Item's Level +5-20 Levels
Blue Item = Item's Level +15-40 Levels
Orange Item = Item's Level +30-50 Levels
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
When using an Enchantment stone from the above guide, take note that using the lower extremity will cause you to have a lower chance of success. If you have a Level 10 White item, you will have a higher percent of success if you use a Level 13 Enchantment stone than if you used a Level 11 Enchantment stone. Also, if you use too high of an Enchantment stone, your chance of success will be diminished as well.

Now that you know how to create Enchantment stones and use them to enhance your gear, you must be wondering what the point of it all is! Each item can be enhanced up to 10 times. Although this seems fairly easy to obtain, you can take either two paths to reaching it. One involves spending lots of your character's money on purchasing the best-to-use Enchantment stones; the other involves spending lots of risk on using lower level Enchantment stones that will sometimes fail. What happens when you fail? Your item loses one level of enhancement! This is why it is important to use the correct level Enchantment stones. The good news is that items cannot reach negative enhancement levels; it will stop at 0. The bad news, obviously, is that it can take quite a bit of time and money to reach 10.

The following shows what bonuses come with each enhancement level. Remember, each item can reach a maximum of 10, so multiple each bonus by 10 to figure out the maximum.

A WoW player's PvP guide to Aion

Player vs Player (PvP)
There are no battlegrounds in Aion (e.g., Alterac Valley). Instead, the PvP is more "open-world" so to speak. The biggest PvP zone is called the Abyss. Players can only enter the Abyss from levels 25-50. Contained in the Abyss are the best XP opportunities, PvE rewards, PvP rewards, instances, and fortress raids. Think of the Abyss as a giant (and we mean giant) contested zone from a WoW PvP server. PvP is highly encouraged in Aion and it is difficult to avoid it once you reach level 25.
You gain Abyss Points (AP) by killing enemy players and Balaur NPCs in the Abyss (and lose it when you die). AP is kind of like honor from back when WoW first launched. AP gives you special PvP ranks and you can spend it like currency to buy various specialty items and abilities.

Two other forms of PvP in Aion include Rifts and the Arena. Rifts are portals that take you to your enemy's PvE lands. Quests still start sending you through Rifts in your mid-20s. The capital cities also contain Arenas where you can participate in giant free-for-alls against your allies. Basically, it's a way to practice PvP risk-free.
Graphics/performance

Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Aion uses Crytek's CryEngine rendering software. This engine is highly scalable and looks absolutely brilliant on high-end machines and pretty good on low-end ones. Comparatively, the graphics in Aion seem smoother and more detailed, however, it's really up to your personal taste. As for performance, the game runs about as well as WoW on most machines.
Polish
Polish can mean a lot of things, so we're going to generalize by saying it means "things work as intended." Like WoW, Aion is a very polished game. WoW wasn't perfect at launchand Aion won't be either. That said, both games display high attention to detail and most things work as intended.
Aion's European and North American release benefits from having been in Korea for almost a year. We're playing a game in which all the major flaws have been already fixed.
Crafting
Crafting is fairly deep in Aion and similar to WoW. It really shines in its contribution to the game's player-driven economy. Players can learn:
Cooking (food and purification) Handicrafting (accessories, wooden weapons, and small parts) Weapon Smithing (metal weapons) Armor Smithing (metal armor) Sewing (cloth and leather armor) Alchemy (potions, magical weapons, and items that can upgrade gear) There are gathering nodes all over Atreia for players to collect. You can learn all the gathering and crafting skills but only master one. Players level up their crafting mostly through work orders, which are kind of like quests for your trade skills.

Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Economy/market
Trade brokers and personal stores: These are the two key forces behind the game's economy. The trade broker is like WoW's auction house. Personal stores are a bit different.
Players can set up their a personal store in areas of high traffic and sell just about anything. They can set their own prices, add a store description, and basically go AFK and let the items sell themselves. Alternatively, they can actively participate in trade chat. Aion's currency is kinah. There is no plat, gold, silver, or copper. A kinah is a kinah, plain and simple.
Achievements/titles
Aion's achievements are tied to titles. For example, do all the quests in Poeta and earn the title Poeta's Protector. Titles grant special bonuses such as stat buffs and appear beside your character's name. There are dozens upon dozens to collect.
Flight/gliding Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Every class in Aion can fly at level 10+, not like WoW where you need to be a Druid or have a special mount. These wings can be used to glide anywhere in the world and even fly in certain areas.
Flight can be hard to master, but flying is necessary in the game for a number of reasons. Some content is only accessible by flying and much of the PvP you'll engage in will take place on land and in the skies. You can't fly in some of the PvE zones but the entire Abyss is a fly-zone.
Solo vs. group friendliness Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
The earlier levels in Aion are quite manageable for a solo person. Going solo is possible throughout the mid-levels as well, but it becomes much less efficient. Even though many new quests were added in a recent patch, we are hearing reports that there still aren't enough to get you through an entire level at times. That means you will resort to either solo grinding or group grinding.
Playing in the Abyss and rifting into your enemy's PvE lands carries more risk to the solo player. Aside from the risk, there's only so much you can accomplish while solo in the Abyss from a raiding perspective. The high level instances and fortresses require a group to really get anything accomplished.

For Templar-players, this is one great beginner's guide to the class. However, more class-specific details regarding strategies, techniques and tactics of the class can be found in this Aion Templar Guide . There are also guides for the 7 other classes, an Aion Strategy Guide and an Aion Kinah-making Guide.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
The Templar is one of the two advanced classes that Warriors can choose from at Level 10. They are generally considered the Tanks of the game, but they aren't merely restricted to being a meat shield. This class can DPS as well as take damage, and their tanking strategy doesn't mean merely standing around taking damage.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
While combat in the air can be more difficult, especially for a melee class like the Templar, this class can handle itself fairly well while in flight. Their heavy armor and very high defense helps them stay alive and take large amounts of damage while heading for their opponent. When DPSing, their DPS is slower and lower than their warrior counterpart the Gladiator, but they can still bring utility and other benefits to a party even though their base DPS isn't as high as some of the other classes in Aion.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Templars have many direct taunts, Area of Effect Taunts, shield bashes and aggro pulling skills. They have many useful skills that let them take damage rather than the more fragile members of their parties. Besides a specific ability that lets them target a specific player and take the damage that particular character is receiving, the Templars have numerous shield bashes that knock enemies back and a Stigma skill that lets them bash down doors.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Other than being able to DPS, however, Templars also have the ability to heal. They can even heal themselves while they're tanking, which isn't a skill that is very common in other games. They also have several protection spells available to them.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Aion Templars can use single handed swords, maces, and two handed swords. As it was mentioned earlier, they can also use shields, which both helps them tank and can be used as a weapon. The shield usually does nice damage and it can stun enemies, as well as set off a number of chain attacks. Shields aren't required, but they are one of the distinctive features of the Templar. Templar can wear heavy armor and use shields, and according to many play testers the Templars have some of the coolest looking armor in the game.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
All in all, the Templar is an interesting new interpretation on the plate wearing tank class, giving them much more flexibility than other Warrior classes have traditionally had. With the ability to tank, heal, or cause damage, they will always have a use or a spot in a group. This also gives them the ability to save a group if any essential member dies. They can take the spot of another Templar, or even the Cleric to save the day for the rest of the party.

Players of the Gladiator would find this guide below to be a good entry-level guide. More advanced information about the Gladiator class, such as strategies, tactics and tips, can be found from a guide such as this Aion Gladiator Guide . Apart from the Gladiator guide, there are also 7 other class guides, a strategy guide and an Aion Kinah-making Guide.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
The Gladiator is an advanced class that the Warrior can become once they Ascend. This class is the heavy duty, in your face melee DPS champion. They are masters of two handed weapon combat, and have high health and defense. They are mainly a physical damage class, and their gear and abilities reflect that. Unlike the Templar, they cannot do any kind of healing.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Aion Gladiators have a large selection of weapons and armor to choose from. They can wear any armor in the game, but wearing Heavy Plate is generally the best choice. They can use most weapons in the game, from swords to polearms. This class can tank as well as DPS, but they really shine as offtanks that use their stuns and brute force to keep enemies in line. They have slightly weaker defense than their warrior counterparts the Templar, but their attacks are more powerful and destructive. They definitely focus on DPS tanking rather than defense tanking, which the Templars have covered. They also have problems with stuns, restraints, and other movement impairing effects. Once they are restrained they have nothing other than their armor to help them until the effect wears off.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Gladiators have strong attacks, various debuffs, and a variety of stuns and knockdowns. They also have a special racial ability, which is Explosion of Rage for Asmodians and DP Explosion for the Elyos. Explosion of Rage and DP Explosion both inflict level based physical damage on the target and forces it to stumble.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
At the early levels Gladiators only have their Warrior leveling combos and skills to fight with, but very soon they come into their own. At Level 13 Gladiators get a fight combo that causes a great deal of damage and stuns the enemy. Wrathful Strike allows the completion of this combo. Gladiators also have several passive skills, like Attack Preparation, which boosts physical attack power by 15%. Most of the Stigmas available to them are related to Attack Power, Damage and Physical Attacks.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Gladiators are meant to be the second line of defense in a party setting when they are not tanking. They bring their damage and their armor, and stand between both the melee characters like Chanters or Assassins and the ranged characters like Rangers or Spiritmasters. They are definitely the class to pick if you like beating enemies to a pulp and wielding massive, two handed weapons.

Aion Scout Guide

Aion beginners can learn some of the more basic details from the guide for Scouts below. Ultimately it does help in the making the important decision of choosing whether to play the Assassin or the Ranger. But those who are looking for more detailed strategies, techniques and tactics, a guide such as this Aion Guide is quite useful. Other guides that may prove useful include the Aion Kinah-making Guide and guides for the specific classes in Aion.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
The Scout is one of Aion's four base class archetypes. This class can be played until Level 10, which is when a character receives its wings and players are allowed to pick from one of the two specialized subclasses, the Ranger and the Assassin. These two classes are covered in detail in their own articles. The Scout is a leather-wearing melee class and he is all about speed, agility, and awareness. This class has good one target DPS, but because of their lighter armor class they can't handle large groups of monsters. The key to this class is careful positioning because the Scout has no ranged attacks to pull only one monster, especially once the enemies become aggressive rather than neutral. Scouts require a bit more finesse and effort early on than some of the other base classes, since attacks are positional and enemies can't be pulled to them. This class is quite useful in parties, but it really shines as a solo class if a player prefers to do things on their own rather than with others.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
A quick, basic run down of the Scout class is that they use stealth (the Hide ability, available until you chose a class specialization, when you get a better skill) and either swords or daggers to do high melee damage to a single target. They receive Duel-Wield at Level 6, and can have any combination of swords or daggers as weapons, i.e., two swords, two daggers, or one of each. They are not built to take heavy damage, but to dodge it instead. They tend to take a fair amount of damage, especially at the very early levels, so investing in bandages and health food will make the quest to Level 10 go quickly and smoothly. Scouts are second only to the Mage class when it comes to starting DPS, but aren't nearly as easy to kill, even if they are a little fragile.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
One of the really nice features in Aion that makes the Scout class less annoying to play than other equivalents is that players don't have to be in the "correct" position to damage enemies. Many of the Scouts attacks rely on the character's specific position, but even if they are not in the exact position required for the attack, enemies can still be damaged. Scouts receive bonuses for being in the correct position, but there no more annoying notices about not being in range or in the right position.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
The Aion Scout and its specializations are a flexible, versatile class in group play, solo questing, and player versus player combat. They are basically your run of the mill rogue, a preparation for the specialized classes you can choose from at Level 10. They let players experiment with several different types of play style, and this experience will help players decide whether they would prefer to be an Assassin or a Ranger.

Players who are new to Aion can appreciate the beginners' Warrior Guide below to a certain extent. It would definitely help in making the decision between playing a Gladiator or Templar later in the game, an important and irreversible decision indeed. In-depth strategies, tactics and tips can be found in a more advanced guide such as this Aion Guide . Other interesting guides include specific class guides and the Aion Kinah-making Guide.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
The Warrior is the last of the four base character archetypes in Aion. A player who chooses the warrior archetype is given the choice between the Templar and the Gladiator. The Warrior archetype is the heavy melee and tank class of the game. They are made to stand toe to toe with enemies, and either devastate them with their melee attacks or guard the physically weaker members of their parties from the monster's attacks. Later on down the line the Warrior can decide whether to be a tank, a DPS, or even a healer, as the available subclasses have a number of choices and interesting skills.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Warriors can wear heavy armor and equip shields from the very beginning of the game, which allows them to easily solo any monster or task that they must overcome to Ascend. Warriors use combos to build up their DPS and kill monsters, and they are not as simple or as brainless to play as warriors in other games can be. These combo attacks are available to the Warrior very early on, which is another reason they level through the early stages of the game so quickly.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
This class is very powerful defensively, but weak against snares. Once a warrior is stunned or snared in any way, there is very little they can do to break free. This isn't so much of a problem in PvE situations, but can be frustrating during PvP encounters. Their DPS isn't as high as classes that have lower defenses like Mages or Assassins, but it is still reasonable and not underpowered. Warriors should always venture out with potions, bandages, and food, because while they can take a beating they should always be prepared to heal themselves up when they need to.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Aion warriors also have basic tanking abilities fairly early in the game, and it's important to practice them while there isn't the success of a party's run resting on a player's inexperienced tanking. A Warrior won't need to worry too much about tanking or taunting before Level 10, but being familiar with the different skills will make the later levels easier to deal with. Aggro management is important, and one of the Warrior's primary aggro skills is the Provoke ability.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
The Warrior archetype is fairly typical from levels 1 to 10, but it really becomes interesting and starts to shine after Ascension when the advanced subclasses become available.

Aion Spiritmaster Guide

The Spiritmaster is the other advanced character class that can be chosen after playing the Mage subclass to Level 10. This is another casting class, and the only summoning class in the game. They are considered a ranged DPS with significant Pet DPS to boost their own damage and keep their fragile, cloth wearing bodies safe. They too have a kind of mastery over the elements, but rather than just elemental spells like the Sorcerer they can control water, earth, air and fire spirits.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Spiritmasters share many similarities with the Sorcerer advanced class. They both worship either Kaisinel, Lord of Illusion or Lumiel, Lady of Wisdom. But the fundamental difference, besides one being more about their spells and the other being more about summoning elemental creatures, is based in lore. Sorcerers know the formulas, the theories behind their magic, while Spiritmasters just do what they do, with little scholarly attention to what makes their magic happen. They are cloth wearing, and have the low defense rating that is common to the Mage class. They also have a lower base HP pool than the other advanced Mage class.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Spiritmasters summon Spirits to aide them through spells, rather than taming them or having the same pet follow them through the levels. The higher level the Spiritmaster is, the more powerful and varied types of elemental spirits are available for summoning. And once Aion is released, there will be a fifth spirit, race specific spirit that players can summon in addition to the base four elemental spirits. Elyos Spiritmasters will be able to summon a spirit pet that is a combination of water and wind, while Asmodian Spiritmasters can summon a spirit made of fire and earth.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
This Aion spiritmaster class is strong at solo play. They should always have some sort of spirit at their side to hold aggression and damage enemies. There is an appropriate spirit for different situations, so part of playing this class is knowing what elemental should be used for a specific situation. Fire spirits are used for melee combat, while water spirits deal out magical damage from range. Earth spirits specialize in defense, and finally, the wind spirits are used in magical melee damage. Spiritmasters control most of the spirits attacks and abilities, so they cannot use their pet to farm monsters while they go AFK and eat lunch or something.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Spiritmasters play the debuff role in groups. They use their spirits and spells to wear down enemies to make them easier for high DPS classes like the Assassin to kill quickly. They can also dispel a target's beneficial buffs. And one last skill that makes them invaluable to groups is that they can raise an item's drop rate, which will give the groups more and better loot when enemies are defeated.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
This class is an interesting addition to Aion, and it is a useful and valuable part of a groups that have the potential to be very sought after by other players. Their pets make them different from other mage classes in other games, and different from all the other classes within Aion as well.

Aion Sorcerer Guide

The Sorcerer is a master over the elements of the world. They are a subclass of the Mage archetype, and over their many quests they receive a wide variety of spells that both help them bind and damage their foes.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Sorcerers can freeze, shatter and burn their opponents. They are meant to be long-range fighters, as an enemy's attacks make it difficult for them to cast. They need high Concentration for their spell casting, so this is an important stat for them. Sorcerers wield Orbs or Magical Tomes as their weapons, which will buff their spell casting stats as well as other character attributes. Orbs can be used as physical weapons in the most dire of circumstances, but Tomes cannot.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Aion Sorcerers receive passive skills that buff their Concentration, Mana Regeneration, Mana Capacity, and Magical Damage. These buffs increase with each level that is gained. Their spell set consists of many, varied elemental damage spells and various binding and stunning spells. Sorcerers can cast damage spells such as Fire Arrow, Chains of Ice, or Deep Ocean to damage foes, or Cripple to slow down their movement. They also have a wide array of instant cast, damage over time spells like Erosion and Mist of Soul. To help them keep their mana stores up, they can also instant cast the Holy Command spell to regenerate 75% of their total available mana points. Of course, all of these abilities and spells can change since as of right now the game is unreleased, but this is just some information from both the Beta and the Korean versions of the game to help gamers figure out the talents of the Sorcerer class.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
Aion does not grant players the ability to create custom builds for their characters. All the aspect points are leveled automatically for them once their character Ascends and they choose an advanced character class. Stigmas can be used to add some custom skills and attributes to the Sorcerer if the player wishes, but very little information on Sorcerer stigmas is available at this time. However, there will probably be Stigmas that increase the damage of some of the Sorcerer's spells, as well as Stigmas to reduce the casting cool downs on spells.
Aion Kinah www.mmoservices.com
The Sorcerer is the typical character that slings powerful spells at their enemies from afar. Their damage is high and their defense is low, and they are useful in group settings because between their Ice spells and their various cripple and stun spells they can kite and keep any enemies at bay. Players will enjoy the death and destruction they can deal out, especially if they have a friend playing a high defense class to level with so they never have to worry about being at a less than optimal damage range or taking any damage.

The Mage is another one of the four base archetype classes in Aion. At Level 10, they can choose to become either Sorcerers or Spiritmasters. They are the major damage class in Aion, as they have typically become in many other games. To counter their massive damage output, however, they are also extremely vulnerable. Mages can control the elements, and need high evasion skills to keep themselves alive whenever enemies attack them. As is common, mages can only wear cloth armor, and have a large variety of spells.
Aion Kinah www.MMOServices.com
One of the biggest advantages to playing a mage and any of their subclasses is that because they cause so much damage, Mages can win battles in seconds. Unfortunately, if a fight isn't over in a very short period of time they aren't likely to survive, but they do have several stun or bind abilities to help Mages that are in trouble escape. They aren't as gear dependant as some of the other classes in the game - you'll do great damage whether you have the best gear available for your level or not. Slow mana regeneration and light armor can make them frustrating to play, but the key is knowing when to fight and knowing when to flee. The auto attack for the class is also very slow, which can mean trouble if the caster runs out of mana before a fight is done.
Aion Kinah www.MMOServices.com
A Mage purchases all their spells from a trainer, at least until they ascend at Level 10, and some of these spells include Fire Bolt, Ice Bolt, and the very handy Restrain. Restrain will stop an enemy from attacking or following players for 20 seconds, which gives the fragile Mage time to run away if the battle isn't going their way. Until about Level 5, Mages will have a limited number of spells, but the number that can be learned increases quickly after that. Players also receive the Concentrate passive ability at Level 5, which makes a big difference in the Mage's ability to cast spells while being attacked.
Aion Kinah www.MMOServices.com
The Aion Mage is an extremely powerful class, but needs to be played with some restraint and intelligence, otherwise they'll spend a lot of time dying. Learning all the effects of spells and the various ways they can be used is also important, but this is definitely an interesting class and there are some interesting twists to the traditional caster class once a character ascends and can pick one of the two subclasses.

The Chanter is one of the two advanced classes in Aion; at Level 10, after Ascension, the Priest archetype can choose this class. The Chanter is a melee-heavy class that inflicts damage through stuns, crowd control and debuffs while still being able to maintain above average direct melee damage.
www.mmoservices.com
The Chanter is able to wear chain armor and use shields once they reach Level 10, which makes it much easier to solo with them than Priests and Priest subclasses in many other games. Chanters are much tougher than they may first appear; they can both heal themselves and survive encounters with enemies several levels higher than themselves. Their damage is above average thanks to several skills and the ability to debuff enemies.
www.mmoservices.com
Mantras, various chain attacks, their heals and their debuffs make the Chanter extremely valuable to groups. This subclass is able to DPS and hold their own in solo combat while still having the common abilities and strengths that most players have come to expect from any class labeled.
www.mmoservices.com
Mantras are the main special ability of the Chanter, and they are a big factor in what makes them different than the other Priest subclass, the Cleric. These are instant cast ability buffs that will remain in place until they are manually turned off or the Chanter dies in battle. These mantras are automatically given to any party members that are within its stated range, and the higher level the Chanter gets the more Mantras they can learn. Another nice benefit of the Aion Mantra system is that a player doesn't have to pick and choose which Mantra to use - they are stackable, so any Mantras that the Chanter knows can be turned on for the party's benefit. Between levels 10 and 20 there are four separate Mantras that the Chanter can learn. They are the Victory Mantra (increases Physical Attacks by 10), Shield Mantra (Increases Physical Defense by 20, Evasion by 20, Block by 40, and Parry by 40), Magic Mantra (Increases Magical Accuracy and Magic Boost by 20) and Celerity Mantra (Increases Speed by 10). There are also several skills available to boost the power of Mantras while in aerial combat, making the Chanter extremely desirable in a group setting.
www.mmoservices.com
As for combat, Chanters are mainly melee and cause most of their damage by stringing together complementary chain attacks. They also have great debuff spells to weaken their opponents, including Meteor Blow and Incandescent Blow, which both reduce the target's physical defense and flight speed. Even better, these two debuffs are part of a chain, so Incandescent Blow's effects are in addition to the debuffs granted by Meteor Blow. Between self heals (including both castable spells and instant cast), buffs, and their DPS, they're a very appealing class with much to offer to the rest of the player core in Aion.

Aion Cleric Guide

The Cleric is the second of the two advanced Priest classes, and is much closer to what many players will traditionally regard as a Priest type class than the Chanter. However, it does have great benefits and some new and interesting abilities thrown into the mix so it isn't the same old boring heal bot class. They are more of a ranged class than the Chanter, and so will be spending a lot of their time in the back of the group with the Rangers and the Mages. This is always a good place for healers to be anyway, so tanks have more time to pick up loose mobs if the Cleric's healing pulls too much aggro.
www.gaming4less.com
Clerics also gain the ability to wear chain armor once they ascend. This makes them significantly less squishy than some of the other ranged caster classes. Combat for the Cleric consists of using a crowd control spell such as Restraint to keep an enemy at a distance, and then unleashing chains of offensive spells and then healing themselves whenever needed. This Restraint spell is essential for being able to complete solo quests effectively, but it can also be used for crowd control in groups. Clerics have a valuable and straight forward role in groups: they provide protection, healing and resurrection to all the other group members, and also on occasion they can help take down monsters when needed.
www.gaming4less.com
Abilities of note for the Cleric are the passive buff to healing that becomes available at Level 10, and it gives a 5% boost to the effectiveness of healing spells. This gives them a slight advantage over other healers. At Level 16 they also learn the ability Summon Holy Servant, which allows them to summon a pet. This pet can't move around as it is rooted in place, but it will deal out reasonable ranged damage at the cost of its own hit points. Clerics also get the Refresh Mind spell at Level 19 to help them regain mana at the cost of hit points.
www.gaming4less.com
Just like the Chanter, players will find both familiarity and new and interesting twists in the Cleric class. Aion has made an effort to expand their healing classes to being viable and "more importantly" fun to play doing something other than healing. While Clerics really shine as healers, they are competent ranged casters as well, therefore making them worth playing, even if healing isn't what a player is interested in.
