I'm having some difficulty installing addons through the curse client. I tell the client to install an addon, then the client tells me it has installed the chosen addon, but doesn't write to the /public/games/world of warcraft/interface/addons/ folder.

To be clear, the mods show as installed in the 'Your Addons' tab, but don't exist in the AddOns folder.

It doesn't seem to matter whether I pick an addon from the 'find an addon' tab or attempt to install via the curse client through the curse.com website.

I can install addons manually no problem, but if I try to update those addons with the curse client, again a no-go.

Hi bitmancer,

We've had issues with permissions (since often where warcraft is installed may be under different rules than when running the client)

To assist in diagnosing these problems, many logging and error reporting features were added to the 3.0.0.8 client. Although it is not yet publicly released you can try downloading and using it here.

I am having this exact same problem. It's kind of frustrating when it say's all addons are up to date and there not even installed.
