i was wondering if theres an addon which shows me the distance between my char and my target and the direction which i should take to go towards him... i guess this could be used on pvp and healing on raids..

I may be (unintentionally) making this up, but I believe the ability to be automatically provided the direction of your target is intentionally not available.  The closest thing I can think of - though I haven't used it - would be to use a range indicator like RangeDisplay that gives distance by yards which would more quickly make you aware if you're moving towards or away.
