Please post all feedback related to the newly updated user profiles in this thread! Here's a quick recap of some of the changes:
- We've made some dramatic changes to the display of data, removing a lot of the clutter.
- Profile Banners - We've added the ability to create a special custom banner for your profile.
- Announcements - You can now post an announcement at the top of your profile in the middle column.
- Your profile picture and avatar picture is now separate from each other. You can have different images for them if you'd like.
Please head over and take a look, then tell us what you think!

Hello, my profile has a dead link under "My Activity" to http://my.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/CooldownWatch.aspx, which should be http://www.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/cooldown-watch.aspx. So both the server and the page name are wrong.

Let me turn off the display of my age. That's my info to choose to share, not yours. I gave you my birthdate as a courtesy, not so you could plaster it on a profile for everyone to look at.
That, or give me the ability to edit my age so I can be some ridiulous number like 187. I doubt that's the better choice.
As an aside, I am very irritated with this website for its sneaky practices. The client is going to give me pop-up ads? It automatically installed a data-miner (against WoW's TOS) and will automatically share my character profiles? I uninstalled it, but it's really shady to not announce it in a really obvious fashion. Sorry, an entry in the activity log will not tell the user that they are violating TOS by leaving it installed.

The client page states that it uses the profiler to gather character profile data. You can actually disable this, though. Did you download it from the client page or a direct link?
I've added the age display to our list of needed changes. You should definitely be able to toggle that.

Regardless of what the Client page says, the Curse Client installed something NEW without our clear knowledge or consent.
I've only had the Curse Client for under a month, after a lot of fear & doubt I finally gave in (especially after WoWAce Updater was given the can) and installed it, up until this sneaky behaviour I have been pleasantly surprised.
However now that my fears have been confirmed and your actions exposed I will a) never ever be paying for the premium client b) un-installing your program and c) telling everyone I know about this.
The facts are, I did not have this mod up until the 3rd, it is now on there & I did not know about it. For someone already worried about security issues, how can anyone at Curse honestly convince me that something "dodgy" can't be installed? It's bad enough that the rare occurance of a dodgy update slip through, but a total new mod? Wrong Wrong Wrong.

It isn't something new. The Curse Profiler is part of the Curse Client package. As the client page states.
I'm sorry you feel that this is "dodgy" and won't be using it, I wish you the best of luck in finding an updater you're happy with.

I am very confident that when I downloaded the Client package on October 19th, there was no mod installed by default, I did notice it installed by default on a new install yesterday. Checked my main PC and it had an install date of the 4th.
Are you gauranteeing me that it was always installed, and the Client cannot or would not ever be used to install a new mod without my knowing?
If so, I apologise.

It's supposed to be installed by default, yes. It sounds like the new version of the profiler to work with 3.0 was sent out yesterday to you.

@Powerkeyweb
you should be able to modify your birthdate in the account settings of your profile page.

The password you get in your email is the "current password" that you use to change your password to a new one.

How do I delete a character, or at least make a character private, from my profile on WoWDB? If these options are not available, then they should be. Magelo allows this and I am quite surprised that I cannot do this here.
