Ah, what a glorious life it is to live as a pirate. Who'd have thought that it would take this long for someone to create an MMO centered around being one. Luckily, Flying Lab Software has taken the initiative to create one that not only has pirates, but comes complete with the plundering they do... and a whole lot more.
With that in mind, and the fact that Pirates of the Burning Sea is in Open Beta, we're going to be releasing a set of screen shots each Wednesday, until the game launches on January 22nd, 2008. We'll start off this week with what you'll see as you begin the game -- both the Tutorial, and as a pirate, Marsh Harbor.
As the series progresses (i.e. we gain levels), we'll show off quite a few of the ports and cities in the game, as well as ship combat, swashbuckling, and a whole lot more. Keep an eye out, but for now, enjoy the first set of screen shots -- 16 in total! You can either view them below by clicking on the thumbnails, or head here.
Next week we'll have shots from some higher level content, as well as a bonus set of shots from the other three possible choices for affiliation -- Spain, Britain and France.
