If you're anything like me, you've come to love the pure awesomeness of AC-130 gunships. So here's a mission where you're in one!

Contains parts 1 and 2. 3 and 4 are planned. Part 1 is an escort, part 2 is a base defense, part 3 is another escort, and part 4 is a bombing run.

It features a camera that circles around AC-130 style, following a convoy that you have to protect. Once it reaches the base, you must defend until more forces are built.

It also features 3 selectable weapons; Explosive Machine Gun, 40MM Cannon, and a Tactical Nuke. Select them using the custom GUI or by pressing 1, 2, or 3.

Leave any comments/suggestions/critiques you'd like, just keep in mind this is a rough draft.

Release of Part 1&2

+Added part 2, a base defense. You must defend it until more forces are built
+Improved weapon GUI. Your selected weapon now lights up green, and weapons that are reloading now grey out
+Added ammo counter to nukes. You are limited to 5
+Improved camera. It is now higher with a bigger field of view, and looks more "Down". It also rotates more slowly. Should feel more "AC130ish"
+Changed the cursor to always be a target reticule
+Added music
-Fixed bug where units sometimes moved backwards (I think)
-Various balance changes
-Improved the graphics and terrain

-Fixed the camera follow so it doesn't go back to the spawn. I swear this worked before I uploaded it.. but it works now
-Removed foliage from areas with creep
-Fixed Victory Condition

Currently, victory is achieved if all of units still alive in the convoy make it to the base
You lose if all 3 tanks die

    There needs to be hotkeys for at minimum the mg and the cannon, i findmyself sticking with the cannon because aside from the mg kind of sucking, you lookse too much time switching

    I used the map patcher to play online, after defending this base for about 1 min, I think all my buildings were destroyed and game just ended all of a sudden, did not even go to score screen, just to home page.

    Hey :),
    Just played your map (thanks to your localization!!!) and i wanted to add that once a tank got far behind because of a roach attacking it while the rest moved on. As did the camera... so maybe you should add some hold position trigger as soon as a tank gets attacked or sth. like that :).

    Oh shit ... I just nuked the base ... I thought it was enemy units :P

    2 issues:
    1-the camera rotates too fast overall. when i was done the screen seemed to be still spinning, i dont know if you can slow it down a little.
    2-is there any way to include a visual cooldown besides the red text?

    -other than that i thought the game play was fun and the map worked well. great job

    Hey, thanks for the comment. On issue 1, yeah I agree it's a bit too fast right now. I'll probably be slowing it down a bit, and maybe changing the angles of the camera to be a bit higher and "AC-130ish". On the second issue, I plan to add a progress bar type thing over the GUI of the weapons in the future. The red text right now is just placeholder.

    Yeah, so I just tried this map, and for some reason the camera pans away from where it's supposed to go to and goes back to the very beginning. On top of this, it also said mission failed randomly in one of my goes. I was unable to complete the map :(.

    However, when it works it works well, and even looks great aesthetically.

    Hey, yeah the camera pan is a weird bug. I *Swear* my camera fixer trigger worked perfectly before I uploaded, but then I tested again and it did not. No idea why. But I fixed it anyway, in the new version. As for the mission failing randomly, the mission should only fail if you lose all 3 tanks. Keeping them alive is the objective, the soldiers are secondary. I'll make that more clear in the next release.

    Alright, well I just did a run through of the map, and it works perfectly now.

    Thanks for the game, but i've been experiencing a problem with the in-game camera. It is turning my screen black and making the game unplayable, i have downloaded 50+ maps, and this is the first one that this has happened to. Do you want a screenshot?
