Chris2012s Whiterun HQ Texture Pack
This is a high-quality texturing mod (currently for Whiterun). As you can see in the comparison pictures, i try to keep the same feel to the textures while having actual quality instead of bluriness. Some are actually redrawn at 4 times the resolution of the original file.
Textures are 2048x2048 and 1024x2048.

Installation
1) Extract files
2) Copy Textures folder to Skyrim/Data folder
3) Play
4) Most likely you'll need the "allow 4gb ram usage" patch to allow skyrim to use more RAM otherwise you'll encounter purple textures/crashes -> you can find it here : http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1013
Uninstallation
1) Go to your Skyrim/Data folder
2) Delete the Textures folder (not the big file, just making sure !)

Considering some people seem to be confused about clicking the permissions button to check what they're allowed to do with these files and also the fact that it might get uploaded to other sites, i'll specify it here just to be clear.

You need the Large Adress Aware patch. Textures got nothing to do with it. The engine can't handle the increased load due to being limited to using 2gb of ram.

However if you updated after today's steam ninja patch the LAA patch won't work anymore.
It's causing me problems, sometime at loading I just get some purple textures instead of the proper ones, mostly the wood of the doors' and windows' frames.
Sadly curse bugged out my files, 0.7 is the latest version and 0.62 from this site.
This deserves a lot more downloads!
