About Dovahkiin Hideout

This adds a very large basement connecting all houses in the game. You can enter the Hideout from any house in the game by opening the hatch found on in your house.

    Renamed the name of the file to try to stop this. Not much I can do really, it's everywhere.

    Yep.  I did the same thing.  I could have opted not to install though.  Blargh.

    I managed to recover my stuff by uninstalling 3_5 and then installing 3_0 and going to an earlier save point.  It took some tweaking.  Also see Shawkab's instructions right after my post.  If you are wise in the ways of console comands, it may help you.

    I had to tweak a bit to get it to take.  I'm not sure why but my save kept wanting to go to 3_5 but it did work. 

    You can do this.  I'm a total N00B and I recovered my stuff.  Stay strong. :)

    Go here and download the 3.0 file, hinetoa.

    I did the same thing by just updating Curse and then read that I needed to remove my stuff first. Fortunately, I was able to reinstall the 3.0 file, get my stuff (it was all there!) and went into one of my houses to save and zone out. Downloading the new version now. Can't wait.

    Hope you're as lucky getting all of your stuff back.

    So far the dagger display cases have never worked right for me.  The cases open and close properly but there isn't an "activate" option.  Also, it would be nice with any closable display case for them to be propped up on an angle so that you can see the contents of the case without having to stand practically on top of the display.

    I am an idiot.  Does anyone know if there is a way to dial back to a previous version of this MOD?  I was stupid and didn't read the readme... installed this version - LOST EVERYTHING. :(  ARGH ARGH ARGH!  EVERYTHING. 

    This is my fault but if there is way to get back to 3.0 I my save should still have everything... right?

    LAWDIHATEMYLIFE!  /facepalm

    Hey Dreyja, you might still be ok.

    Try this: Keep Basement.ESM and Hideout.ESM installed and running, or just have Basement.ESM running.

    Then type: COC Dovalair, all your stuff SHOULD still be in there still, when you got all your things, if you have hideout.esm and basement.esm on you should be able to just type COC hideout and you will be in the new hideout. 

    after moving all your stuff, turn off Basement.esm.

    Hey Dreyja, that's good news.


    This will be the only time you will have to do this, this was a large structural update that had to be done to move mannequins etc. Every next update past 0.3.5 you can just throw inside your Data folder, replace Hidetout.ESM and .ESP and you should be ready to go.

    0.3.5 is my first Stable build really, Tried to fix most the issues.

    Thank you so much Shawkab!  Bettween your instructions, a system restore and a couple other things, I have it all back to 3.0 with my stuff. 

    Thanks so much for the swift response.  You did a fine job trying to warn people like me that this would happen.  Well, I admitted I'm "special."

    I'm now slowly taking all my stuff out.  One question, how many more versions do you anticipate before we won't have this problem?  My mistake was spending hours organizing everything in a space that, let's face it, was in beta.   I don't plan to do that again (library orgainization alone was hours. ;) ) untill we have a fairly stable build.

    I still ADORE this mod and will continue to use it. 

    You are a peach and a brilliant Mod builder.  Keep up the good work.

    Thanks for fixing the Proudspire door problem, Shawkab!

    I really like the latest set of changes and updates you've done. The hideout's looking terrific and I'm using it regularly between quests now. I'm off to donate via PayPal when I've posted this.

    Only new idea I can think of at this time - assuming you haven't all ready planned it - is that I'd love to see a chest near the doors. Maybe by the table? Personally, I'd use it to store things I'm going to sell.

    I used your command to get inside the hideout put there was no key there.

    I dont know if it doesent work yet or its a bug but i looked at your code wtih FOMM and found out the key has the id "00550b2b"

    Thought to let you know.

    And if someone wants to spawn this instead of teleporting use player.additem 00550b2b

    I Would like to see more Normal Mannequins, as it seems a shame to have so many sets of armour in chests being forgoten.

    I should have 0.3.5 out in about 3-4 hours, has a bunch more Normal Mannequins, an Armory, Moved Enchanting/Alchemy room, expanded War Room, and added a bedroom.
