Sony and Guerilla Games have announced that a spinoff version of Killzone 3 will be arriving next week in the PlayStation Store for PlayStation 3 users.
Killzone 3 Multiplayer is exactly what it sounds like; a multiplayer-only version of Guerilla's popular 2011 shooter but this tiem around, it's coming in a free to play model. Guerilla and Sony have essentially taken everything in Killzone 3's multiplayer, including the full arsenal of weapons, gear and abilities plus a year's worth of DLC maps, and are offering it as a standalone experience. Players can rank up to the level of Sergeant I before they will be required to shell out $15 to continue enjoying the ranking and unlocking experience that Killzone 3 Multiplayer offers.
We spent a lot of time playing Killzone 3 when it launched early last year and we definitely recommend new players to give it a shot. You can't go wrong for the price. Killzone 3 Multiplayer hits PSN next week and we'll have more details when the game launches!
