
Entries are now open for the Develop in Brighton Indie Showcase! Taking place at the HIlton Metropole in Brighton, UK, from July 10-12 2012, the showcase features unpublished and independently developed games, as chosen by industry experts. An overall winner will be chosen and announced on Thursday, July 12th with the People's Choice and Editor's Choice.
The ten indie developers chosen for the Indie Showcase will win:
- Two Indie Dev Day Conference passes (worth £190)
- Up to five expo passes
- Pre-event publicity (including a profile on the Develop in Brighton Conference's website)
- Opportunity to showcase unsigned/unpublished game to more than 1,500 developers, publishers, and press
Last year's Indie Showcase winner was team Facepalm Games, for their title The Swapper. They had this to say about the competition:
Entry to the Develop in Brighton Indie Showcase is open to independent game studios with no more than 15 people. The entered game must be non-publisher funded with a development budget of less than £1 million. It’s essential the game has been created in the ‘indie spirit’.
