NCsoft today released the latest patch for Aion, 2.1 part 2, which introduces a slew of changes to the game's crafting and quest systems.
"Quests have been re-worked with increased drop frequency of items and gear rewarding players for their efforts," the release said. Indeed, NCsoft has improved quest rewards, and increased drop rates for quest-related items. This should be a welcome change to those who enjoyed leveling in Aion through the quest system.
Likewise, the crafting system has seen substantial changes. More than 300 new crafting designs have been added, including Balic materials dropped by the Balaur. In addition, higher droprates of designs and raw materials, along with reduced material requirements for 593 Asmodian and Elyos recipes, will help to provide a more enjoyable, resonable crafting experience.
There are even more changes in the patch, including tweaks to instanced dungeons, as well as fixes to many environment and NPC issues.
