Ubisoft has released a new batch of screenshots for their upcoming action adventure game Assassin's Creed III. The latest version of Ubisoft's iconic franchise takes players to a brand new era and conflict; the American Revolutionary War.
In Assassin's Creed III, players take up the role of a half-Mohawk, half-English young man who has lost his family to an attack by colonists. Ratohnhaké:ton is the man's name (pronounced Ra-doon-ha-gay-doon) but he is more easily referred to as Connor, his English name. Connor will be able to traverse late 1700's Boston, New York and a vast area of wilderness referred to as the Frontier. New game mechanics include dynamic weather, which will change tactics as both the player and enemies move more slowly in the snow; tree navigating mechanics will allow you to rapidly scale and move between trees, leaving you endless opportunities to strike from above and so much more. The team working on Assassin's Creed III is passionate about making a game worthy of Assassin's Creed's iconic name without offering up a game too similar to previous Assassin's Creed games.
