The A40 Headset - ASTRO Edition: An Overview

First released in 2008, the A40 headset has since been gaining ground with pro and casual gamers worldwide. When combined with the MixAmp Pro 2013 Edition, gamers can adjust game-to-voice balancing, choose from several different EQ modes made specially for gaming and other media, and link multiple together for a lag-free private voice network!

There are reasons that tournament winners globally have been seen with this setup; let's run them down:

  • Tuning - Astro has worked with pro gamers and audio designers alike to deliver the pinnacle of clarity at every fequency. Your games, music, and movies will sound as their creators intended them to.
  • Customizable Speaker Tags - A magnetic tag system gives you the customization you want with no fuss. You can design your own online, or choose from fresh styles when you order.
  • Superior Fit & Finish - One of the things we hear reviewers raving about is the lightness, comfort, and ease of use of this headset. You can wear them flat around your neck, or on your ears for days of play in comfort.
  • Swappable Cable System - Swap your unidirectional mic side to side and use the in-line Quick Disconnect cable system to release and move freely or to upgrade cable lengths for console, mobile, or PC play. USB power makes it easy to plug in, with no added messy power cables.
Coming in at $230 for the package it's an investment to seriously consider, but when an audio solution packs such severe 5.1 sound, can be worked into compatibility with your consoles, and gives you an aural advantage that can't be denied, you realize why quality of this caliber is worth the bucks to pros and casuals alike.

Oh man this headset looks sweet. I'm gonna be able to hear stuff like really good and people are gonna hear me really good. And like, I can take these plastic things off the sides and put different looking plastic things on there instead. Ya know, cause I gotta look good when I'm playing WoW all alone. Plus, I can even adjust the volumes for my voice chat and my game seperately? That's revolutionary! I could never do that with any other headset. And at only $230 it's a steal. I'd gladly pay six times that for such a device. Man I really hope I can get mine before they sell out.
