Bethesda Softworks, parent company of id Software has announced the dates for 2012's annual QuakeCon event. As per usual, the event is taking place down in Dallas, Texas at the The Hilton Anatole Hotel.
QuakeCon 2012 is going to take place between August 2nd through August 5th, this year. For those unfamiliar, QuakeCon is an annual event to celebrate id Software's legendary Quake franchise and so much more. Since Bethesda Softworks became parent company to id Software, the event has become home to some first-look exclusives for more than just id Software releases.
On top of that, QuakeCon houses the world's largest Bring Your Own Computer (BYOC) event, where gamers from around the nation bring their rigs and battle it out in some massive LAN action.
QuakeCon will once again host North America's largest BYOC (Bring-Your-Own-Computer) LAN party, with thousands of gamers hooking their systems up to play on a world-class network.
QuakeCon offers nonstop fun and entertainment for those that don't bring their own computers. Bethesda Softworks will offer the first chance anywhere for gamers to get their hands on upcoming titles, and the world's leading technology companies will be on hand to demonstrate their latest hardware and software. Every day of QuakeCon is packed with contests, entertainment, announcements, panel discussions, and parties!
Every year QuakeCon hosts a diverse line-up of companies showcasing the industry's most influential games, hardware and services.
