Jagex has released a brand new trailer for their MMORTS 8Realms. Jagex very well may be the kings of browser-based gaming, if Runescape is anything to go off of, and 8Realms looks like it does browser-based gaming proud.
8Realms is a massively mulitplayer strategy game, where players must take a fledgling empire and see it thrive through 8...realms, hence the name of the game. Players will shepherd their empire from the dawn of civilization all the way through the 'glorious future'.
They don't call it a 'real-time strategy game' for nothing, however; during the times where you aren't playing, your empire in 8Realms continues its building projects and campaigns. The choice is up to you as to how you play the game. You can wage a relentless war until all who stand before you are crushed, or you can opt for the peaceful route and grow your empire to power through trading and negotiations.
