Today, Curse has pushed out an update for all of our download tracking data that will ensure its precision. Our developers have been hard at work devising a system that can deliver our authors and users the most accurate data possible.
This affects the statistics that already existed such as download counts per file, as well as the total overall download count.
Don't be surprised if you see a significant increase in download counts — our new system is now correctly and appropriately reporting data from both Curse.com, as well as the Curse Client. You'll also notice that CurseForge, WowAce, or SkyrimForge data is now appropriately matched and syncing to its Curse.com counterpart.

The Average Daily Downloads statistic has now been replaced with Average Monthly Downloads. We believe this will more properly reflect the current state of addons or mods inside their respective games, providing users with the most popular and relevant addons. You can easily sort via this new statistic, so players and authors can easily see new trends.
Our authors mean a lot to us. Thank you for being so patient during our extensive research and testing of this critical data. We wanted to do this right, because that's what you all deserve! Whether you're an author for WoW, Rift, or Skyrim, go check out these new statistics now!
