CCP has posted an insightful blog update on the official EVE Online blog in which they take a look back at the past few months of development on EVE as well as what users can expect for the future of EVE Online.
Most notably, CCP discusses the major reorganization that they've been undergoing both in-game and on the web with a major update to their website. The bulk of the reorganization has been completed, but CCP still has some more work to do in rolling out more changes and implementing some tweaks. It looks like the biggest point of focus right now is the upcoming expansion Inferno, which is set to launch sometime around this Summer.
EVE’s developers are really getting into their stride for our upcoming releases. I recently emerged from many demos where the teams have been showing off their progress from their second sprint (short development cycle). I have to say that even at this early stage I think we have some great features, content and improvements for you coming up over the next 4-5 months. We are hoping to have a number of small releases as we go through February, March and April culminating in our major, war-themed release coming just before the summer, EVE Online: Inferno.
CCP is also working on hammering out the bonds between EVE Online and their upcoming PlayStation 3 shooter DUST 514.
The blog update is a must-read for fans of EVE Online, so be sure to check it out at http://community.eveonline.com/.
