In just about one week, CCP will be hosting their annual gathering of EVE Online players from Reykjavik, Iceland, EVE Online Fanfest. Not able to attend this year's event? Don't worry, CCP has announced that they will be offering live streaming coverage of the event online!
CCP announced this morning that EVE TV will be live streaming EVE Online Fanfest and the Party at the Top of the World, completely for free. This year is shaping up to be even more exciting as DUST 514 is looming on the horizon. DUST is, of course, the free to play first-person shooter coming to PlayStation 3 users that connects to the same game world that EVE Online players have come to be familiar with.
So, what to expect from Fanfest and the live stream? So far, we know that the stream will include:
- Full live feed from Fanfest 2012, now covering all 3 days’ worth of events.
- An estimated 32+ hours of content broadcast live from the new venue.
- Major presentations streamed as they happen with regularly updated highlights of concurrent events.
- CCP Soundwave is joined by CCP Sunset and CCP Guard to guide you through the full line-up of events.
- Continuous information overload from the presentations, EVE & Dust Fanfest Tournaments, Dev interviews, player interviews and events.
- The Party on Top of the World! Including live acts: HaZaR, GusGus, HAM, DJ Alienhand, RoXoR and more
