Wings of the Goddess -- Final Fantasy XI's latest expansion -- is going to be releasing on November 22nd. With that in mind, Square Enix pushed out a major content update today in preparation for its launch.
The expansion returns players to the time of the Crystal War -- introducing new areas, missions, two new jobs for players to level up and a whole lot more.
Additionally, there is some non-expansion content going into the patch, such as the ability for players to invite their friends into their Mog House. No longer will you have to live out your days in a secluded San'dOria room -- your friends can join in on the fun by paying you a visit.
There are also two new Gobbiebag quests for players looking to expand their inventory space -- along with several changes to the Chocobo Circuit and new spells and abilities added.
Something very important to note, though, is the following:
The content (including the new jobs and areas) in the Wings of the Goddess expansion disc will not be available for play until November 22, even in the case where the required software has been installed and expansion contents registered.
So, while today's patch introduces the Wings of the Goddess content, it won't be accessible until November 22nd -- even if you have the expansion files installed on your computer as of this news posting.
