Square Enix has revealed today that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be launching over the summer for PC and PS3! No exact date is confirmed yet, but we're hoping to hear of one soon.
Final Fantasy XIV is now truly a realm reborn, with the game having been fully rebuilt from the ground up to improve all systems. A load of new content is available, centering on the concept of rebirth -- players will be able to explore new worlds and storylines via a visually refreshed platform and new game design meant to appeal to Windows PC and PS3 players alike.
The third phase of closed beta testing will take place in June, introducing PS3 users to what the relaunch has in store for them for the very first time so far. They'll be able to experience the world of Eorzea alongside PC players, due to the game's cross-platform functionality. Other new content will be introduced in the third test, including the city states of Ul’dah and Limsa Lominsa.
