Nearly three years after reports that T3 Entertainment was taking control of Flagship Studios' canceled Hellgate: London title, it's now returning to North America. And indeed, T3 is bringing it back under the updated name of Hellgate.
While London has been dropped from the Hellgate name, it's still set within the sewers and streets of a Hell-ravaged London. This time, however, there's no monthly subscription fee. T3 Entertainment plans to bring Hellgate stateside as a free-to-play title.
The beta test for Hellgate is going to kick off in only a few weeks, with closed beta running from June 3 to June 5, 2011. A full launch of the game is planned for later this year. T3 Entertainment states that they will have more information on beta registration soon at the official Hellgate website.
